Parents in Bartons, St. Elizabeth are now more equipped to effectively fulfil their responsibility as caregivers following a Parenting Session themed, "From Surviving to Thriving".

The initiative, which sought to empower caregivers by addressing subjects such as managing parental stress, positive parenting and communication, and child protection, is a part of the CFA and UNICEF Jamaica's () ongoing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in response to , mainly in St. Elizabeth, St. James and Manchester.

Counselor, Dionne Levy addressed hindrances to parent-child relationships such as stress, and offered practical solutions to include self regulation, self care and compassion, to avoid causing undue harm to their children.

Our AYE² Project- Stakeholders’ Knowledge Sharing Session, hosted in St. Thomas, brought together key partners and community voices committed to strengthening youth empowerment efforts.

Through support from , the session created space for collaboration, insights, and shared strategies to better serve and uplift young people across the parish.

The session sought to address youth development issues andchallenges in St. Thomas, such as Teen Pregnancy, Substance Use, Mental Health, Reproductive Health and Child Protection. Importantly, this served as an opportunity to identify actionable steps for creating safer and more supportive environments for adolescents.

Together, we continue to build stronger networks, informed communities, and sustainable pathways for youth leadership and advocacy.

Our AYE² Project- Community Peer Educators’ Training, hosted in St. Thomas, brought together vibrant and creative young minds ready to lead, advocate, and make their voices heard.

Supported by , in collaboration with , the sessions encouraged teamwork, creative expression, and vital skill-building. These youths are stepping into their power- championing positive change in their communities and beyond.

The sessions highlighted and explored youth issues such as violence, mental health, reproductive health and social media, whilst utilizing theatre for development, digital advocacy as well as sports for development approaches.
