Garlic Vine (Mansoa alliacea)

โ€ข Easy-care climber, prune after flowering
โ€ข Full sun to partial shade (more sun = more blooms)
โ€ข Leaves smell like garlic when crushed
โ€ข Flowers bloom purple and fade to light lilac/white
โ€ข Blooms often appear after dry spells
โ€ข Folklore says heavy blooming means rain is coming
โ€ข Garlic-scented leaves help repel insect

FUN FACTS!!!!!

It can also be used as medicine as its used in herbal medicines to treat Asthma, flu, cold and tuberculosis even pneumonia. The leaves can be dried an made into a tea that you can drink when you have a fever, or disspell parasites from you your body and it has been proven to treat epilepsy. You also makes a great natural repellant as having it around your garden keeps aways mosquitos,files and snakes!!!
