Here are some highlights from our Senior Citizens Appreciation Mingle in Effortville District (Farm), Clarendon, held under the beautiful theme: “Golden Years, Golden Memories.

The day was filled with engaging activities, meaningful discussions, heartfelt conversations, and nonstop laughter and fun, reminding our seniors that they are valued, cherished, and appreciated, and that their golden years deserve to be filled with love, dignity, joy, and beautiful memories.

At Live Love Laugh Youth Foundation, we believe that age is a treasure, every story matters, and every senior deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and supported. Together, we continue to create moments that warm hearts, strengthen bonds, and leave lasting memories.

Did you know that in Jamaica’s 2017 Global School-based Student Health Survey, about 1 in 4 adolescents aged 13–17 seriously considered su***de during the previous 12 months, and more than 720,000 people die by su***de every year worldwide; and su***de is the third leading cause of death among people aged 15–29 globally?

Su***de prevention starts with a conversation. This Su***de Prevention Month, let’s “Change the Narrative on Su***de” by replacing judgment with compassion, silence with conversation, and isolation with connection.
