✨️🎉The Clarendon Parish Youth Council proudly showed our support at the launch of the Longville Park Police Youth Club on February 15th, 2025!

A huge shoutout to our President, Termario Daniels, and Treasurer, Kimoy Fuller, for representing us at this incredible event.

We also want to thank our Youth and Education Officer, Mr. Gareth Warren, for his continuous support and guidance. Congratulations to the new executive body! Together, we’re making a positive impact in our community!

Celebrating Innovation; CPYC supporting STEAM Education! 🚀✨

✨️ On February 12th 2025; The Clarendon Parish Youth Council had an incredible experience at the Glenmuir Robotics Team STEAM Expo, alongside schools like Glenmuir High, Clarendon College, St Jago High, Denbigh High, Beulah All Age, Midland Prep, Denbigh Primary, and Glenmuir Prep! A special shoutout to our dedicated members, Ms. Shalom Bryan (Assistant PRO) and Ms. Lisa Simone Taylor (Assistant Treasurer) , for representing us. Together, we’re paving the way for a tech-savvy future!

Meet The Awardee: Nicholas Salmon

Nicholas is the perfect example of excellence in academics, leadership, and innovation. A proud graduate with honors from Glenmuir High School in 2023, Nicholas achieved an impressive nine CSEC distinctions and was recognized with a prestigious National Award of Excellence in Mathematics. 🌟

But his brilliance doesn’t stop in the classroom! Nicholas served as the President and Vice Captain of the Glenmuir High Robotics Team, where he mentored peers and promoted a passion for STEM. 🤖💡 He also showcased his entrepreneurial spirit by founding a successful painting business and secured second place in the TeenTechJa Pitch Competition. 🏆🎨

In addition to his academic and entrepreneurial achievements, Nicholas is making a lasting impact in his community. In 2024, he founded the educational YouTube channel “GOGEDIT,” offering free study resources to empower students and help them achieve their academic goals. 🎥📖

Tonishae Smith is a driven and multi-talented young leader committed to making a meaningful impact in her community. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of the West Indies, Tonishae combines her passion for advocacy with hands-on leadership to uplift and empower those around her. 📚⚖️

As the Developmental Area Coordinator for the Mocho Division, Tonishae spearheaded her passion project addressing Food Insecurity, directly benefiting 20 families within the Mocho Division. Her efforts highlight her dedication to community development and her ability to provide innovative solutions to pressing challenges. 🍎✨

Tonishae’s leadership journey is equally inspiring. She is the Former Youth Mayor of Clarendon (2023-2024) and the reigning 2nd Runner-Up for Miss Clarendon Festival Queen 2024, showcasing her ability to lead with grace and purpose. 👑💫

In addition to her advocacy and leadership roles, Tonishae has a creative flair! She serves as the Creative Director for Sharkwave News at AZ Preston Hall, where she uses her artistic talents to enrich the creative arts community. 🎨📸

Mr. Gareth Warren is a dedicated leader and advocate for youth empowerment, whose contributions have significantly impacted the Clarendon community. As the Past President of The Clarendon Parish Youth Council from 2018 to 2020, Gareth demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to uplifting young voices. His tenure was marked by initiatives that fostered growth and development among youth leaders in the parish.

Currently serving as the Youth Empowerment Officer for Clarendon, Gareth continues to champion programs that promote youth engagement and development. He is also a Justice of the Peace for Clarendon, reflecting his dedication to community service and justice.

Gareth attended the Midland Bible Institution, where he studied Psychology and Theology, equipping him with valuable skills to mentor and guide young leaders. For years, he has been a beacon of support and inspiration, providing mentorship to numerous youth leaders across the parish. 🌟💪

As the Immediate Elected Past President of The Clarendon Parish Youth Council (2021-2023), Rajae demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to recognizing and uplifting grassroots leaders. During his tenure, he conceptualized and launched the Clarendon Youth Awards, an initiative aimed at celebrating outstanding youth leaders. Under his leadership, over 15 youth leaders were recognized for their contributions to their communities. 🏆✨

In 2023, Rajaé’s dedication to youth development earned him a nomination for the Prime Minister’s National Youth Award of Excellence (PMNYAE) in the field of Youth Development, a testament to his impactful work and unwavering commitment to empowering young people. 🌟💪

Rajaé is also the founder and Executive Director of The Live Love Laugh Youth Foundation, an organization that focuses on supporting the elderly, marginalized youth, and persons with disabilities. Currently pursuing a B.Sc in Social Work at the University of the West Indies, Kristena combines her academic knowledge with hands-on leadership to create meaningful change in Clarendon. 📚✨

Since 2022, Kristena has served as the President of The Dawkins Youth Club, where she has led impactful initiatives to engage and uplift her community. In September 2024, she spearheaded her first club project in Mocho, Clarendon, organizing a Football Competition that brought the community together and fostered a sense of teamwork and unity. ⚽🌟

Her commitment to leadership extends beyond her club. Kristena is the Junior Councilor for the Mocho Division and the Deputy Youth Mayor of Clarendon, roles in which she advocates for youth empowerment and community development. Her dedication and efforts have earned her the prestigious title of Member of The Year, voted by youth club members across Clarendon. 🏅💪

Dunsting Cohen Jr. is a rising star in Jamaican football, making history as the youngest player in the Jamaica Premier League to score at just 15 years old. 🌟⚽ His talent and dedication to sports have earned him recognition both locally and internationally.

Dunsting has proudly represented Jamaica at various youth levels, including the U15, U17, U18, and U20 teams, showcasing his skills and commitment on the global stage. 🌍💪 In 2024, he was a Champion Cup winner for Glenmuir High School, further cementing his legacy as a standout athlete.

In addition to his national achievements, Dunsting has represented Clarendon at the U15 and U17 levels. He also contributed to the success of the Kingston Football Academy, which won the prestigious Easter Open Tournament in the Netherlands twice, in 2022 and 2023. 🏅🇳🇱
