Jamaican Network Of Seropositives We advocate for the rights and concerns of people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, through empowerment, partnership, and resource mobilization.

The Network began in 1996 following the first regional meeting of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Trinidad. In 1997 JN+ was publicly launched with support from the National HIV/STI Control Programme (NHCP) and CAREC. In 2004, the Network became a sub-recipient of the Global Fund for HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. By mid-2006, the membership had grown to nearly 300 with ten affiliated Self Supp

ort Groups island-wide. JN+ is a member of the National AIDS Committee, the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS), and the UN Theme Group. JN+ is registered with the Registrar of Companies as a National Network of Self Support Groups of Personals Living with HIV and AIDS.

Scenes from today’s JN+ Health & Wellness Village in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay! ❤️💛💚

From free health checks and HIV/STI prevention services to community outreach, referrals, and on-the-spot support — our team showed up strong for MoBay today.

We engaged with taxi operators, market vendors, commuters, families, and persons most affected, ensuring everyone had access to information, testing options, condoms, and essential wellness resources.

The spirit of community was alive with real conversations, real support, real connections.
Because this is what the HIV response looks like when we take it to the streets… people-centred, stigma-free, and filled with love and dignity.

Special thanks to our partners who stood with us today:

Together, we’re transforming access, strengthening community health, and ensuring no one gets left behind.

This year’s WAD theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” carries special significance for Jamaica as we continue to recover from the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. The disruptions in access to treatment and care and the wider challenges faced by PLHIV in navigating daily life with limited resources and opportunities have made the national response, and the work of JN+, even more urgent and essential.…..

To truly overcome disruption, we must be prepared to cause disruption whenever and wherever people are being left behind.

To those who have gone ahead, we honour you.
To those still here, still standing, still fighting we salute you on this World AIDS Day.

The national response has made progress, and community-led organisations like JN+ will always be front and centre because representation matters, and the voices of the people most affected must always lead.

To truly overcome disruption, we must be prepared to cause disruption whenever and wherever people are being left behind.

To those who have gone ahead, we honour you.
To those still here, still standing, still fighting we salute you on this World AIDS Day.

Women should never have to live in fear.

Violence against women whether physical, emotional, s*xual, or economic, has no place in our homes, communities, or society.

Today, on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, JN+ stands in solidarity with all women and girls in Jamaica and around the world. We lift our voices for safety, justice, and freedom from violence.

Our Call to Action

Believe women.
Support survivors with dignity and compassion.
Challenge harmful norms and behaviours.
Advocate for systems that protect and not silence women.

To All Women Living With HIV

You deserve:
Safety
Respect
Love
A life free from fear

JN+ continues to fight for your rights, your well-being, and your empowerment.

Let’s unite to end violence
