Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Jamaica Foundation for Islamic Charity (JFIC), we are pleased to advise the Muslim community that JFIC received a 40 ft container of Hurricane Relief Supplies from a generous donor in Trinidad.

May Allah ﷻ reward the donor and his family abundantly and grant them Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

The container included food items and essential supplies for disaster recovery. As part of the immediate response, food baskets have been issued to ALL Masajid for disbursement to needy persons within their communities and those affected by the hurricane.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who assisted on Friday after Jumu‘ah and again on Sunday to help strip the container. Your time, effort, and willingness to serve made a meaningful difference in ensuring these supplies could be distributed promptly.

A special word of thanks goes to the Muslim Youth Organization (MYO) and its members, who took time away from their camp this weekend to come out and assist. It was truly encouraging and inspiring to witness how hardworking, disciplined, and committed these youths are in serving the community.

We are reminded of the words of the Prophet ﷺ, as reported by Abu Huraira (ra):

“Whoever relieves a believer of hardship in this world, Allah will relieve him of hardship on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Sahih Muslim 2699)

May Allah accept all your good deeds, reward you abundantly, and place barakah in your time, strength, and efforts. Ameen.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your continued support and service.
