Our Story

ECAPI is a membership organization that provides grant solicitation, project management and training support to community groups and NGOs. To date we have accessed over JMD $60 million for local projects since 2015. Based on the need for effective management and implementation of community advancement projects within local communities, our main aim is to assist community groups and NGOs to prioritize their needs and develop practical solutions to address same.

In light of limited financial resources from the Government of Jamaica for community development, especially rural communities, it is increasingly difficult for these communities to build resilience, strengthen their adaptive capacities to local challenges, and to create meaningful and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
