Greetings KYMCA Board and supporters of the Y Projects.
Letting you all know we completed phase 2 of the Hurricane Melissa Relief Project in Westmorland. This was mainly focused on the rebuilding of the Y's Menettes Resource Centre in the town of Savanna-la-Mar.
We also supported two Senior Citizens get their shelter back up in Datliston.
Many thanks to our hard working committee for their efforts in fundraising, planning and implimentation of the project.
Phase 3 now begins; to furnish the two computer rooms. Only one computer and printer has been aquired so far so some basic services have returned.
A formal report is to be prepared shortly but I needed for you all to share in this good news.
Also happy to report we reopened the auditorium for business in June, had a one week Summer Day Camp for the Community Children in July and rented three of the four rooms airmarked to help have a much required monthly revenue source.
The National Y Movement hopes to get the fourth space in operation as an office to organize ongoing Seminars, Guidance and Councelling. Help from local and International Organizations to acheive this is at hand and will also be a part of Phase 3 execition.
