The Forest Conservancy - TFC Formed in 2003 by two of Jamaica’s leading forestry professionals, The Forest Conservancy (TFC) is a non-profit, incorporated association.

The Forest Conservancy (TFC) was founded by the late Keats Hall (1930-2009) and Guy Symes as an Environmental Non-Governmental Organization (ENGO) which was incorporated in 2003. Under the leadership of Guy Symes, CD, MF, BSc, it is presently managed by a 10 member Board of Directors and supported by professional Associates and field services personnel. As its main strategy, TFC has been promoting

the reforestation of idle, arable lands for growing tissue-culture Teak and other short-rotation, high value timbers. eg Gmelina arborea, Acacia mangium, and Cedrela odorata, in collaboration with community groups and private land owners on a wide range of sites.
