NEO Jamaica

NEO Jamaica The New Employment Opportunities Project seeks to increase job opportunities for poor, vulnerable and low-income Jamaican youth, ages 17 to 29.

NEO is a regional initiative dedicated to improving the quality of the workforce and the employability of poor and vulnerable youth in Latin America and the Caribbean. Launched in 2012, NEO is committed to reaching one million vulnerable youth across 12 countries in the region by 2022. NEO is led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). through the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) and the L

abour Market Unit (LMK). NEO Jamaica is expected to benefit 10,000 vulnerable youth, where 50% females will be facilitated by the strengthened training and employment institutions. Similarly, 11 training and employment centers will be strengthened.

100 companies will benefit by employing skilled youths from the NEO programme. NEO Jamaica is supported by the following partners:
