The Rastafari Action Kommittee is a Community Action Group (CAG) aimed at critically assessing and responding to perennial problems affecting the Rastafari community in a post-independent Jamaica. Since the nuisance disappointing the community is socio-economic and cultural, the objective is to empower Rastafari individuals and communities to take full control of their own development and right to

self determination as an intangible indigenous culture of Jamaica. RAK is, therefore, a renewed call to Rastafari's commitment to Jamaica and elsewhere to be that place of refuge and loving space for those who wish to live outside of Babylon's matrix.
