May is Membership Month, but our amazing members deserve to be celebrated all year round! 👏

Why is that? Because of volunteers like you, the Kiwanis family (including Key Club International and Circle K International) devotes 7.3 MILLION HOURS OF SERVICE to kids and communities each year — service worth more than US$218 MILLION. And that’s not all: Kiwanis clubs also collectively raise more than US$340 MILLION for important causes. Wow! Just think of the difference you and your club have made in the world. ❤️

November is celebrated as Kiwanis Family Month each year. Kiwanis has a club for each and every individual regardless of where you are.

Circle K International - is the world’s largest student-led collegiate service organization, with thousands of members on hundreds of campuses on five continents across the globe.

Key Club International - is a student-led, high school organization. Our members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, they grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.

Aktion Club - is the only service club for adults with disabilities, with more than 10,000 members worldwide. Club members become competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service.

Builders Club - empowers youth as they navigate this in-between-stage of life. Members develop self-awareness as they discover their passion to serve, their desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Service to school and community become a way of life! Members are between the ages of 12-14 years old.

K-Kids - is the largest service organization for elementary school students, with more than 1,200 clubs worldwide. Club members discover their passion to serve, desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others to better the school and community. Kiwanis Kids includes three programs for /primary/elementary school students between the ages of 6 and 12

Kiwanis Clubs - Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance. Kiwanis clubs host nearly 150,000 service projects each year.

Each service club is Unique but we are all one big happy family in SERVICE.

The theme for this year is 'Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority'.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a global crisis for mental health, fueling short- and long-term stresses and undermining the mental health of millions. Estimates put the rise in both anxiety and depressive disorders at more than 25% during the first year of the pandemic. At the same time, mental health services have been severely disrupted and the treatment gap for mental health conditions has widened.

"We envision a world in which mental health is valued, promoted and protected; where everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy mental health and to exercise their human rights; and where everyone can access the mental health care they need. " - World Health Organization

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation has chosen the theme "RISE UP"

This year we RISE to ensure every woman has access to the screenings she needs and the support she deserves. When we RISE, we Rally in Screening Everyone.

When we raise our voices collectively, we help to spread the word about the importance of breast cancer screening and support. Your voice and platform can provide the nudge someone needs to get their screening done.

For our 107th Kiwanis International Anniversary, we did our annual gifting of a baby basket to the first baby born at the Falmouth Hospital on the morning of January 21. In addition to that, this year, we also donated boxes of masks and gloves to
assist our nurses in protecting themselves while they carry out their duties. The handing over was done by our President Roger Johnson and our Secretary Yanique Bulgin. We will continue to serve our community as best as we possibly can.
