“*STILL STANDING AFTER THE STORM.”*

*TODAY’S SCRIPTURE*
Matthew 7:24, NIV

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

*TODAY’S WORD*

The Scripture says, “Your Father sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Being a person of faith does not exempt you from difficulties. Jesus told a parable about a wise man who built his house on a rock. This man honoured God. Another man foolishly built his house on the sand. He did not honour God. Then the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the houses of both the just and the unjust. But after the storm was over, the house built on the rock was still standing. The house built on the sand was completely ruined.

You may get knocked down and go through some dark, stormy times, but that’s just a part of life. It rains on everybody. The difference is that when you honour God, when you stay in faith, you have God’s promise that when the storm clears, you won’t be the victim; you will be the victor. You will still be standing.

*PRAYER FOR TODAY*

Father, thank You that my life can be built on the rock that You are, and I can live to honour You. Thank You for Your promise that no matter what comes my way, when the storm is over, I will still be standing. I believe that You will bring me through in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Our Father Creator Sustainer and our God, we
come boldly before your throne with confidence for we know that you will hear, answer and replenish us with your grace and your tender mercy that we so desperately need right now. Lord open our hearts and break every chain of pride that is keeping us from coming to you for cleansing, and for all the help that we need. You promise Lord, that no good things you will withhold from us, and with this promise, and our total trust in you, we place our children, grandchildren, our families, love ones and friends and all that concerns us in your mighty hands. Lord grant your grace to make it through these difficult and dark times that we are facing. Grant us your divine healing; give us protection on every sides; may your strength be our strength; bless us with wisdom, knowledge, understanding and a spirit of discernment. Lord take full control of our decision-making; and every decisions that will be made concerning us, be in the midst of it all we pray. Do for us Lord, what no other gods can do. Show yourself mighty and strong in us, for us, and through us; for your greater glory we pray. In Jesus matchless name. Amen!

2 Corinthians 1:2-3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Our Father, God of all flesh, compassion and grace. We exalt you above all else; we glorify you Lord, and we thank you, that you are bigger than all our troubles and struggles that we encounter each day. You know us before we were conceived in our mother's womb; and you promise that you will never leave nor forsake us. Thank you Lord, for knowing our hearts, our thoughts; for caring about our concerns, and for comforting us when we are weak, wounded and heavily burdened. Fill us with your spirit Lord we pray today. Help us to overcome our doubts, fears and anxieties, so we may put all our trust in you; your great love, care and compassion that you have for us. Lord work in us, and through us, and help us to share your grace, your mercy, and comfort; which you have poured into us with others every day. All to your glory and honour we pray. In Jesus name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 28:1

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

Merciful God and our Father; The Great I Am, we bless your holy name and give you praise, for without you Lord we are nothing. Holy Spirit of God fill our hearts we pray, and grant us the grace to stand firm on the path that you have set before us. Lord bless us with the spirit of humbleness and obedience to your commands; Wherever you lead us Lord, we will follow you, and not lean on our own understanding. Lord, speak your words into our hearts, individually and collectively. Give us wisdom; give us a heart of understanding to your will; so we may not depart from it. Lord cover us and our love ones under the precious blood of Jesus Christ; may your strength be our strength, and may your peace comfort, and blessings be our portion, as we seek first your kingdom and righteousness O Lord, so all these things can be added unto us. Hear us O Lord, and answer our prayers, as we honour you and give you thanks. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.
