6th Jersey Scout Group - St Mary & Trinity

10/10/2026

💙 A big shout-out to our friends at the 3rd & 9th Jersey Scout Groups! 💛💚

They’re at Co-op Grand Marché, St Helier, today until 4:30 pm, packing bags and raising funds for more Scouting adventures! 🛍️⚜️

If you’re popping in for your shopping, please say hello and support their young people. It’s lovely to see Scouts of all ages giving their time and doing a good turn in our community.

A huge thank you to the adult volunteers organising and supporting the day, and to the Co-op for their continued support. These opportunities happen because people give their time, energy and kindness. 👏

From all of us at the 6th Jersey Scout Group, we hope you have a fantastic day! 💙

🧪💚 Three weeks of slime-making fun with The Creation Station Jersey! 💚🧪

Over the past three weeks, our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at 6th Jersey Scout Group - St Mary & Trinity have been getting stuck into slime-making with Emma at The Creation Station Jersey, finishing with another amazing evening tonight! 🐿️🦫🐺⚜️

There’s something brilliant about an activity that captures the imagination of all our age groups. Mixing, making and discovering how their slime changes gives our young people the chance to be curious, follow instructions, try something new and enjoy creating something themselves. And, of course, a bit of mess is all part of the fun! 😄

These shared experiences are such an important part of Scouting: learning by doing, building confidence and making happy memories with friends.

A huge thank you to Creation Station for three weeks of creative fun, and to our leaders and helpers for supporting the sessions. What a lovely way to bring everyone together! 💙

⚜️ WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! ⚜️

6th Jersey Scout Group - St Mary & Trinity is growing, and to keep giving our young people the opportunities, adventures, and experiences they love, we need more adults to join our team.

You don’t need to have been a Scout. You don’t need to know how to tie every knot or light a campfire. You just need a little time, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved. Training and support are provided.

Volunteering with Scouts is a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, have plenty of laughs and, most importantly, make a real difference to local young people.
Whether you can offer your time regularly or would like to find out more about becoming part of our leadership team, we’d love to hear from you.

💙 Without volunteers, Scouting simply can’t happen.

Today, Scouts from both troops came together to work on their Environment Project as part of the World Challenge Badge. Working as a team, they refilled the bug hotels in Adelina Woods and planted crocuses, snowdrops and bluebells around ten trees. 🌱

It was a great morning of teamwork and learning about how we can care for the environment.

Thank you to Alex at Jersey Trees for Life for having us! ⚜️

🎁 6th Jersey Scouts Supporting the Rotary Shoebox Appeal! 🎁
This year, we are delighted to be supporting Rotary Club De La Manche with their wonderful Shoebox Appeal. 💙⚜️
Across our Beavers and Cubs we’ll be filling shoeboxes with small gifts and useful items that will be sent to children and families who may otherwise receive very little.
It’s such a simple idea, but one that can make a huge difference. ❤️
Over the next few weeks, our sections will be getting involved and we’ll be asking our families to help by donating suitable items to fill our boxes. We’ll share all the information about what we need and when to bring donations along.

This is a lovely opportunity for our young people to think about others, do something practical to help and see how a small act of kindness can bring a little happiness to someone else. 🥰

A huge thank you to Rotary de la Manche for giving us the opportunity to be part of the appeal this year.

Let’s see how many shoeboxes the 6th Jersey Scout Group can fill! 🎁💙

🐿️❤️ OUR SQUIRRELS NEED YOU! ❤️🐿️

Next week our Squirrel Drey celebrates its 2nd birthday! 🎂🎉
We’re incredibly proud that the 6th Jersey Scout Group opened the very first Squirrel Drey in Jersey, and two years later our little section continues to grow! ⚜️

Squirrels is for our youngest members, aged 4–6 years, and their sessions are all about having fun, making friends, trying new things and starting their Scouting adventure. From crafts and games to getting outdoors and learning new skills, there’s never a dull moment! 🌳🎨🔥

But as our Drey grows, we need more amazing adults to join our team.
You don’t need to have been involved in Scouting before, and you certainly don’t need to know everything! We provide training, support and a great team around you. What we really need are enthusiastic, caring adults who can bring some energy, ideas and fun and help us nurture our youngest Squirrels. ❤️
⏰ Could you spare a little time?
🙋 Could you help regularly or even just when you can?
🌟 Would you like to make a difference to our young people?
We would LOVE to hear from you!

🌟 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – HELP US GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY! 🌟

Behind every meeting, activity, camp, hike and adventure is a team of unpaid volunteers giving up their own time to make it happen. ❤️

We’re proud to give young people opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, build confidence and create memories — but we can only do that because local people choose to get involved and give something back.

And we’d love YOU to join our growing team! 👋

You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need loads of spare time. You don’t need to know everything about Scouting.

What you do need is a willingness to get involved, have a laugh, learn something new and help young people in our community.

Whether you can help every week, once a month, or occasionally at activities and events, your time can make a real difference.

💙 Share your skills.
💙 Meet new people.
💙 Make a difference.
💙 Help give young people experiences they will remember for life.

And who knows… you might get just as much out of it as the young people do!

If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to help, but I wouldn’t know where to start”, send us a message. We’ll be happy to have a chat and explain how you can get involved.

Our community gives us so much. Let’s give something back and make a HUGE difference to young peoples lives 🙌

🚨WE NEED MORE ADULT VOLUNTEERS! 🚨

Our Scout Group is growing, and we need more brilliant adults to help us continue offering adventures to our young people. 💙

We are looking for volunteers to join our:

🐿️ Squirrel team – ages 4–6
🦫 Beaver team – ages 6–8
🐺 Cub team – ages 8–10½

You don’t need to have been a Scout, know how to light a fire or be an expert at tying knots! Full training, guidance and support are provided.

All we ask is that you bring some enthusiasm, a sense of fun and a willingness to give things a go. You could be helping with crafts, games, outdoor activities, visits, camps and plenty of wonderfully muddy adventures!

Volunteering with Scouts is a fantastic way to:

🌟 Learn new skills
🌟 Build confidence
🌟 Make new friends
🌟 Become part of a supportive team
🌟 Make a real difference in the lives of local young people

Whether you can help regularly or offer occasional support, we would love to hear from you. Every bit of help makes a difference and could allow even more young people to experience the fun, friendship and sense of belonging that Scouting offers.

Please send us a private message for a friendly, no-pressure chat. Come along, meet the team and see what we get up to!

💙 Help us make more adventures possible at the 6th Jersey Scout Group! 💙

Please share and help us spread the word! 🙏

🌳💚 GET INVOLVED & SUPPORT JERSEY TREES FOR LIFE! 💚🌳

We’re delighted to help spread the word about two fantastic Jersey Trees for Life events coming up this September! 🍂🌱

We’re also really excited that, during the Autumn Term, 6th Jersey Scout Group - St Mary & Trinity will begin working with Jersey Trees for Life as part of our young people’s World Challenge Award. ⚜️🌍

It will be a fantastic opportunity for our young people to get involved, learn more about conservation and the environment, and understand how we can all play a part in looking after our beautiful island. 🌱🌳

So, when we were asked to help promote their upcoming events, we were only too happy to support them!

🏃‍♀️🏃 Run for the Trees
Including a 3K run for children and young adults. A brilliant way to get outdoors, get active, and support a fantastic local organisation. 🌳
