🌟 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – HELP US GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY! 🌟

Behind every meeting, activity, camp, hike and adventure is a team of unpaid volunteers giving up their own time to make it happen. ❤️

We’re proud to give young people opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, build confidence and create memories — but we can only do that because local people choose to get involved and give something back.

And we’d love YOU to join our growing team! 👋

You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need loads of spare time. You don’t need to know everything about Scouting.

What you do need is a willingness to get involved, have a laugh, learn something new and help young people in our community.

Whether you can help every week, once a month, or occasionally at activities and events, your time can make a real difference.

💙 Meet new people.
💙 Make a difference.
💙 Help give young people experiences they will remember for life.

And who knows… you might get just as much out of it as the young people do!

🚨WE NEED MORE ADULT VOLUNTEERS! 🚨

Our Scout Group is growing, and we need more brilliant adults to help us continue offering adventures to our young people. 💙

We are looking for volunteers to join our:

🐿️ Squirrel team – ages 4–6
🦫 Beaver team – ages 6–8
🐺 Cub team – ages 8–10½

You don’t need to have been a Scout, know how to light a fire or be an expert at tying knots! Full training, guidance and support are provided.

All we ask is that you bring some enthusiasm, a sense of fun and a willingness to give things a go. You could be helping with crafts, games, outdoor activities, visits, camps and plenty of wonderfully muddy adventures!

Volunteering with Scouts is a fantastic way to:

🌟 Learn new skills
🌟 Build confidence
🌟 Make new friends
🌟 Become part of a supportive team
🌟 Make a real difference in the lives of local young people

Whether you can help regularly or offer occasional support, we would love to hear from you. Every bit of help makes a difference and could allow even more young people to experience the fun, friendship and sense of belonging that Scouting offers.

🌳💚 GET INVOLVED & SUPPORT JERSEY TREES FOR LIFE! 💚🌳

We’re delighted to help spread the word about two fantastic Jersey Trees for Life events coming up this September! 🍂🌱

We’re also really excited that, during the Autumn Term, 6th Jersey Scout Group - St Mary & Trinity will begin working with Jersey Trees for Life as part of our young people’s World Challenge Award. ⚜️🌍

It will be a fantastic opportunity for our young people to get involved, learn more about conservation and the environment, and understand how we can all play a part in looking after our beautiful island. 🌱🌳

So, when we were asked to help promote their upcoming events, we were only too happy to support them!

🏃‍♀️🏃 Run for the Trees
Including a 3K run for children and young adults. A brilliant way to get outdoors, get active, and support a fantastic local organisation. 🌳

🍁 Autumn Event
A fun event, especially for children aged 2–11 years, perfect for families and little explorers!

Raksha and Akela have officially arrived at Poacher International Jamboree 2026! 🏕️💜

The van has been unpacked, the essentials are sorted, and now we’re waiting for the coach to arrive with the rest of our team so the real work can begin… camp build! 💪⛺

It’s all starting to feel very real. We can’t wait to welcome our young people and get #369’s home for the week ready. Here’s to an amazing adventure, new friendships, unforgettable memories, and an incredible week at Poacher!

The sun is shining... and we're ready! ☀️🚗

We're absolutely delighted to be supporting this year's La Ferme Farm Fun Day, and it's shaping up to be a fantastic day for the whole community. If you've got your tickets, we'll see you there!

Our amazing volunteers from the 3rd, 6th & 9th Jersey Scout Groups will be helping visitors park their cars throughout the day... and don't worry, there's plenty of parking available!

Supporting events like this is a huge part of what Scouting is all about. It allows us to give back to our local community, showcase the incredible experiences Scouting offers young people across the Island, and raise vital funds to support future adventures.

Next week, 38 of our young people and 10 adult volunteers head to the Poacher International Jamboree for an unforgettable week of adventure, friendship and learning. Thanks to fundraising events like today's car parking, we've been able to subsidise the cost for every young person and, importantly, cover the costs for our volunteer leaders who have generously taken a week away from work to make this experience possible.

Every pound raised helps us do this without dipping into our reserves.

If you can't make it to La Ferme today, you're certainly missing a brilliant event... but you can still support our Scouts!

The excitement can now start to build!

Joining resources, the 3rd Jersey, 6th Jersey, 9th Jersey Scout Groups will be heading off-island together with 36 Scouts, 6 young leaders and 10 awesome adult volunteers for a week of adventure, friendship and Scouting at Poacher International Jamboree in August 2026!

welcomes 5000 Scouts from around the world, and our contingent from Jersey cannot wait!

It may be a little way off, but the fundraising events and requests for sponsorship will shortly begin - So watch this space!

It is officially 365 days until ! To celebrate, over the next week, every day we will be sharing one of our subcamp names! Look out 👀 for the first one tomorrow!

Our goal is to completely fill one diary (365 dates)… and maybe even start a second!
