Empathy is a subject worth some serious consideration.
There is some clear evidence that most people generally only have empathy for people like themselves. The widespread discrimination against minority groups and women (despite being a majority) shows that empathy does not take a huge space within most human beings.
Bullying, beating, excluding, ignoring, enslaving, discriminating against etc etc is certainly not empathy……
We can however learn and through learning we can change, if we want to.

I strongly feel that we should all look closely at our beliefs and biases about people different to ourselves.

We have to accept that we all have a different framework we operate from which is derived from a multitude of things in our natural being and in the environment around us.

To increase intra-neurotype understanding and communication we all need to do a bit of work to truly understand each other.

Research shows that people from the same neurotype communicate easily but if you go across types it becomes harder.

I wrote this article to try to help bridge understanding and communication for us all.
