Margaret lost her wedding ring while gardening at home and phoned me today to ask for some help.
Thank you to Amanda, who gave her my number.

I visited Margaret this evening and she showed me the area that she had been working in.
After having no luck there, I moved on to a cardboard box that Margaret had put some cuttings in.
Holding the box up and detecting around it, I heard a signal. There, in the bottom of the box, was her ring.

She had previously checked the box, but a ring would have been difficult to see, so it's a good job that she hadn't thrown it away.

It was nice to see Margaret's reaction and I'm very happy that I could help

Peter messaged me this morning to let me know that his ring has arrived safely in London 🙂👍

He was in Jersey with his wife and two friends, visiting their friend who has just moved to the island, when he lost his ring while exploring a bunker at Les Landes.

Peter is going to make a donation to Dementia Jersey as a thank you, which is very kind. Cheers Peter 👊🙂

Visiting Jersey over the weekend, Peter lost his wedding ring while walking at Les Landes, he thought possibly while exploring one of the bunkers. Unfortunately, he only realised once he had left.
Peter messaged me yesterday evening, also sending a video that he took inside the bunker, a clip of which I have attached.
I went today to see if I could find the ring for him.

Metal detecting is not permitted at Les Landes, but as there was the possibility of the ring having been trodden into the mud in the entrance to the bunker I did take mine with me.
However, I found Peters ring sitting on the ground inside the bunker, just outside the flooded crew room.

I posted the ring back to Peter in the UK this afternoon

Jack messaged me today to ask for some help to find his silver ring which he had lost while swimming off the slip at Bouley Bay earlier.

He made the ring himself while on his travels in Bali, so I'm glad that I could find it for him.

I was recommended to Jack by a lady who spoke to him at Bouley, saying that I had found her daughter's ring at St Ouen's Bay.
I'm not sure which recovery that was, but thank you to that lady! 🙂

Yesterday I was invited to Happy Hatchlings Nursery to introduce the children to metal detecting.
It was great to see them having fun and getting involved in the hobby that I love 🙂

Tsepo messaged me today to ask for some help to find his Oura ring, which had fallen from his pocket on the beach in front of The Lookout Beach Café in St Aubin's Bay.

The ring's location was showing on the app and Tsepo could connect to it when he was in the spot, but he couldn't find the ring among the pebbles

I searched for over 2½ hours yesterday evening without success, but returned this morning to expand the search area.

Scott's platinum wedding band recovered at Anne Port.

The ring slipped from his finger towards the end of a kayaking session earlier today

I found a great shot of Anne Port that Andy Le Gresley Photography had taken from a drone and asked Scott to indicate the area in which he lost his ring on the photo. As it happens, Scott was still on the beach when I arrived and he pointed out the search area. After a relatively short search I heard the distinctive sound of a ring sitting just under the sand..

My friend Harry messaged me on Thursday to see if I could help by searching for a platinum and diamond earring that one of his wife's colleagues had lost.

Harry arranged for permission for me to search at the location and put me in contact with his friend, Charlie, who works there.

I met Charlie this morning and we went to the spot.
Unfortunately, it proved impossible to use a metal detector due to a large amount of underground metal in the search location. However, I was very, very (very!) lucky to spot a tiny piece of the earring which was just visible in the ground.

A number of people came together to make this possible and the lady will now have her earring returned - via Steve, Charlie, Harry and Jess 🙂
