ArtHouse Jersey supports artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work that has a positive impact on our Island community and international audiences. ArtHouse Jersey is based in Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, located near the coast of Normandy, France. Surrounded by sea, Jersey has some of the world’s largest tides, revealing hidden moonscape beaches at low tide.

Jersey’s unique landscapes form small coves, vast beaches, rugged sand dunes, tiny country lanes and spectacular cliff path vistas. The beautiful and varied terrain of the island provides areas rich for exploration and is sure to be an inspiring location for artists of all forms. We are producers
We produce large-scale exhibitions, theatre pieces, concerts and community-focused workshops and projects. We are supporters
We are here to enable artists who have ambition and talent to create inspiring, high-quality work that can change lives. We provide Jersey-based artists with financial support and offer free advice and artist-led development opportunities, ranging from facilitated workshops and projects, guided residencies, and industry networking, to drop-in sessions with our team. We are there to nurture and provide a helping hand at critical moments in an artist’s journey, from young people choosing to pursue a career in the arts, to established professionals. We also provide international artists with residency opportunities to encourage the creation of new work. We are a community
The ability of the arts to deliver transformational change drives our work and focus on community outreach. Each of these values is linked to the others and together they guide and influence decisions at every level - upholding them is obligatory for everyone working with ArtHouse Jersey.

ART IN THE ARCHES: SAFE HAVEN - CHILDREN AT BEL ROYAL SCHOOL GET THEIR MURAL UNDERWAY! 💫

What does a safe haven mean to you? For pupils at Bel Royal School, it's a question that's becoming a mural.

Students have been developing ideas and putting paint to wall as part of Art in the Arches 2026: Safe Haven, transforming part of Elizabeth Marina into a public artwork that explores belonging, connection and the places that help us feel secure.

Over the coming weeks, their mural will sit alongside work created by artists, schools and community groups from across the Island, each bringing a different perspective to this year's theme.

Taking part will be Bel Royal Primary School, Mont à L’Abbé School, Hautlieu School, La Passerelle Primary School, JCG Foundation, Jersey Marine Conservation community mural, Ocean Culture Life and Saturday Art School. They will join artists Max Corbett .art, Sami Osman , Yulia Makeyeva , Kate Sugden , James Colmer and Jamie Cole in helping transform Elizabeth Marina into a vibrant outdoor gallery.

Delivered in partnership with Ports of Jersey and supported by Viberts we'll be sharing more from across the project as the murals continue to take shape throughout the summer 🙂

HOW DO YOU HOLD ON TO LOVE WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND YOU IS FALLING APART?

On Friday 3 & Saturday 4 July at 7.30pm you're invited to join us in a candlelit room in Port-au-Prince, where two lovers face an impossible choice. Stay and fight for the future of the city they love, or leave and build a new life elsewhere.

Poetic, funny and deeply moving, Port-au-Prince and its Sweet Night follows Zily and Ferah as they navigate love, loss and hope against the backdrop of a city in crisis. Performed in French with English subtitles, this internationally acclaimed production offers a rare opportunity to experience contemporary theatre from one of the Caribbean's most distinctive voices.

The evening also includes Antigone / Agonist, a new live music and spoken word performance created by Jersey-based artists Rui Figueiredo, Michael Freeman and James Tyson.

NEXT WEEKEND - MANWATCHING!
TWO JERSEY-BORN FUNNY MEN.
ONE COMPLETELY UNSEEN SCRIPT WRITTEN BY AN ANONYMOUS WOMAN.
ABSOLUTELY NO PREPARATION.

Next weekend, Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June, internationally acclaimed hit show Manwatching comes to ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House for two very different, gloriously unpredictable nights of comedy and confession. Written anonymously by a woman and performed by a man seeing the script for the very first time live on stage, Manwatching is funny, revealing, awkward, sharp, brutally honest and completely unique every single night.

Taking on the challenge in Jersey will be comedian Christian Jegard on Friday 19 June and writer/performer John Henry Falle on Saturday 20 June.

And importantly… both performers are walking in blind.

Christian Jegard, brings his brilliantly awkward, fast-thinking comic energy to the Friday performance. Saturday sees acclaimed local storyteller and performer John Henry Falle step into the spotlight bringing his mix of storytelling, comedy and theatrical chaos.

Originally developed by London’s Royal Court Theatre before touring internationally, the show became a word-of-mouth sensation thanks to its mix of spontaneity, vulnerability and comedy.

LAST CHANCE TO SEE THE REFRAMING DEMENTIA EXHIBITION AT ARTHOUSE JERSEY AT CAPITAL HOUSE! OPEN 12PM TO 6PM UNTIL SUNDAY 7 JUNE

Don’t miss the Reframing Dementia exhibition, a powerful photography show by ArtHouse Jersey and Dementia Jersey. Open at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House and appearing in the Royal Square until Sunday 7 June. Free entry, no booking required.

The exhibition features portraits of nine Islanders living with dementia, photographed by five Channel Island photographers: Paul Chambers, Sophie Darwin, Oliver Doran, Étienne Lainé and Natalie Mayer.

Rather than focusing on loss or decline, Reframing Dementia offers a different perspective - one that foregrounds individuality, connection, resilience and joy. The exhibition offers a reminder that a diagnosis does not define a person, that identity, humour, relationships and creativity remain. It aims to reduce stigma, encourage open conversation and offer reassurance to those who may be navigating a recent diagnosis.
