Last night, CJ completed his third annual CJ's Run, and what a fantastic event it was!

It was wonderful to see so many people come along to support him, with friends running alongside him every step of the way. There was such a great atmosphere, full of encouragement, laughter and community spirit.

CJ has shown such determination not only in completing the 5K but also in raising money so that others can receive the same support that helped change his own life.

To everyone who came along, donated, cheered, ran or supported CJ in any way – thank you. Your kindness and generosity mean so much and will help us continue supporting children, young people and adults across Jersey.

CJ, we are incredibly proud of you. What you've achieved goes far beyond the finish line. And we know you have even bigger plans for next year – there is no stopping you now! 💙

💙 CJ's Story 💙

A few years ago, CJ was told he might never learn to read. Today, he's preparing for his third annual CJ's Run, raising £2,000 for Words and Numbers Matter so more children can receive the support that changed his life.

In CJ's own words:

'Words and Numbers Matter gave me more than just support – they gave me belief. Because of them, I've learned that with hard work, I can achieve my goals. For the first time, my future feels possible. I'm raising money so they can continue helping people like me – people who just need a chance, support and someone to believe in them.'

Closing Out 2025 with GRATITUDE

As we approach the final days of 2025, we want to celebrate everything Words and Numbers Matter has accomplished this year and say a BIG thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.

This year, we have:
- Supported students in achieving success in IGCSE Maths, English Language and English Literature.
- Partnered with the Jersey Youth Service to offer Functional Skills English and Maths, helping learners build confidence and essential skills.
- Explored creativity through arts, journaling and reflective workshops, inspiring self-expression across all ages.
- Launched the Six-Book Challenge for all age groups, celebrating the joy of reading, sharing stories and literary exploration.
- Introduced StrongMinds workshops to support mental wellbeing and resilience among young people.

We are proud of the growth, achievements and community spirit we have witnessed; none of this would be possible without our incredible students, families, tutors and partners.

Here’s to more learning, stories, numbers, art, journaling and strong minds in 2026!

💪🧠 Strong Minds – Week 2 This Tuesday! 💪🧠

Our first Strong Minds session was a fantastic start and the feedback has already been so encouraging:
