✨ Introducing our Tea & Talk Recipe Book! ✨

As part of our Tea & Talk initiative, we’ve gathered a beautiful collection of recipes donated by volunteers, family carers, staff, and people living with dementia. Each recipe comes with its own story - a little slice of someone’s life, shared to support others.

Our Tea & Talk campaign encourages islanders to slow down, connect with loved ones, and enjoy the brain‑boosting benefits of staying socially connected.

So why not choose a recipe with a friend or relative, bake together, and enjoy some Tea & Talk time? 🍰☕️

A wonderful time was had at Highlands College on Monday, launching our Tea and Talk initiative, with a special afternoon tea provided by the Culinary Arts students.

The students put on a ‘dementia friendly’ session in the Academy Restaurant for people living with dementia and a friend or family member, all free of charge. We are truly grateful for this generous treat.

ITV Channel TV came along and got some lovely footage, you can watch it back here: https://www.itv.com/watch/news/the-benefits-of-a-good-brew-and-how-it-can-help-those-living-with-dementia-and-their-carers/5wmd863

Our tea and talk initiative encourages everyone to maintain social connections – as the latest evidence shows that social connection is great for brain health. You can find out more about Tea and Talk here: https://dementia.je/boostyourbrain/tea-and-talk/
