We’ve made it to the final! 🧡

We’re incredibly proud to share that Enable Jersey has been named a finalist in the Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year category at the Pride of Jersey Awards 2026.

This means so much to our team. Creating a more accessible and inclusive Jersey is at the heart of everything we do, from working alongside disabled islanders and listening to lived experiences, to removing barriers and helping ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part in island life.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us and support our nomination. It means a great deal to know that our work matters to the people and community we work alongside.

We’re proud to be part of a community working towards a Jersey where everyone has the opportunity to live life without limits.

Giving equipment a second life.🦽

Our Equipment Hub at La Collette gives used care and mobility equipment a second life, helping islanders access useful equipment while making the most of resources already in our community.

From wheelchairs and profile beds to rollators, mobility scooters, walkers and commodes, we have a range of equipment available.
If you need equipment, advice or simply don't know where to start, we’re here to help. 🧡

We’re working towards bringing a Mobiloo to Jersey – a fully accessible mobile toilet and changing facility with features including a hoist and changing table.

A Mobiloo could help make more events accessible for disabled islanders, giving more people the confidence and freedom to enjoy what Jersey has to offer.

Expert by Experience – Enable Jersey Voice Group October Sessions

This month’s Enable Jersey Voice Group sessions will welcome tutors from the Highlands College Social Work course to talk about what it means to be an Expert by Experience and why lived experience is so valuable.

We will be talking about how your own experiences of disability, health, social care or support services can make you an Expert by Experience, using your knowledge to help shape better services for others.

Join us for our next Hidden Disability Voice Meeting on Friday 16th October.

Our Hidden Disabilities Voice Group brings together people with a variety of disabilities (specifically focusing on the acquired conditions such as CFS/ME / Long Covid/ PoTs/Fibromyalgia) to connect, share experiences and have their voices heard. This session will focus on 'Building a Collective Voice', to prepare for our ongoing discussions with professionals.
