Next week marks the start of our annual team challenge in support of Jersey Stroke Support.

Last May, we achieved an incredible 18 million steps to help raise awareness and funds. This year, we are going even further, with the efforts of our cyclists and swimmers being recognised - so every kilometre and every step counts!

Stay tuned as teams compete to travel the furthest “around the world” from the office. We look forward to sharing how far we go and how much we raise for Jersey Stroke Support.

That’s how to start the day !!

We are thrilled to announce that the lovely Kate Hackett is running the Manchester Marathon with her friend, Chris Longsden, in April 2027 and fundraising for Jersey Stroke Support.

Kate is inspired by her dad Jon Hackett, aka ‘the pig farmer’, who had a stroke in 2022.

Here’s a message from Kate:

Hi, I’m Kate 👋

In April 2027, I’m running the Manchester Marathon to raise funds for Jersey Stroke Support—a charity very close to my heart following my dad Jon’s journey.

After raising £12,000 running a half marathon, I’m pushing myself even further to make a bigger impact. Balancing farm life, family, and training won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.

Every donation helps support people in Jersey affected by stroke. Thank you so much for your support 💛

We are so incredibly proud to share that the team completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours 🏅🥳

What an awesome team brought together by a real-life superhero 🦸🏻‍♂️ and multiple stroke survivor, Emerson D’Abbot-Doyle.

An update on our incredible 3 Peaks Challenge group.

They have already conquered 2 of the peaks and en route to the last to achieve the 3 peaks in 24 hours.

What an amazing achievement and we cannot thank the group enough for raising awareness and fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey and Jersey Stroke Support - 2 local charities supporting islanders through difficult times 💚💙

Tomorrow a small team start the National 3 Peaks Challenge — 3 mountains in 24 hours to raise money for Jersey Stroke Support and Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey 💙💚

The event has been organised by our very own super hero Emerson 🦸🏻‍♂️ who has himself survived 9 strokes and knows only too well how quickly life can change and how important support becomes when you or somebody you love is facing something you never saw coming.

Today we’re at TMF Group carrying out blood pressure testing - a simple check that can make a life-saving difference.

High blood pressure isn’t the only cause of stroke but it remains the leading one. The challenge ? It often has no obvious signs or symptoms, which is why regular checks are so important.

Taking a few minutes to know your numbers can help you take control of your health and reduce your risk.

What a brilliant afternoon yesterday with a charity football match at Springfield.

Teams represented The Britannia Pub and The Dorset Tavern Pub - with a well fought match but The Britannia took an early lead and a convincing win on the day 🏆

Such a great turnout in the sunshine 🌞 with special thanks to Kayleigh Reid for organising such a phenomenal event, raising awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association - Jersey and Jersey Stroke Support 🧡💙

Huge thanks to everyone who took part or came along to support the event.

This morning we visited Hawksford to offer free blood pressure checks to staff as part of our ongoing stroke prevention work 💙

High blood pressure is one of the biggest risk factors for stroke - and often there are no warning signs. That’s why taking a few minutes to get checked can be so important.

Prevention starts with awareness and we’re proud, as a small charity, to be bringing these vital checks into workplaces across the Island.
