£15 million milestone

🎉 A milestone moment for Jersey: we have now awarded more than £15 million in grants since the Jersey Community Foundation was founded in 2020.

That is £15 million put to work right here on the Island: funding youth clubs and after-school places, mental health support, care for our ageing population, arts and heritage projects and help for Islanders in real financial difficulty. 💚

That figure has provided over 600 organisational grants and nearly 300 individual grants in 6 years, with each and every one going right to the heart of our community.

We also need to remember that behind every one of those grants is a local organisation doing the work and a donor who made it possible. Thank you to everyone who has been part of it. 🤝

Whether you are looking for funding or looking to give, we would love to hear from you.

Helping children with life-limiting conditions access enriching experiences

We're pleased to award Family Nursing & Home Care £3,426.55 through our Social Mobility Fund to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

The funding will help provide inclusive respite and enrichment activities for around 120 children, ensuring they can enjoy educational, cultural and recreational experiences tailored to their individual needs and abilities.

From visits to Jersey Heritage sites and Jersey Zoo to swimming, bowling, crafts and interactive activities, these opportunities help reduce isolation, build confidence and create joyful experiences for children who often face significant barriers to taking part in everyday activities.

The project also provides valuable respite for families, helping to ease the pressures of caring for a child with complex needs while improving wellbeing and strengthening family resilience.

By removing financial barriers, this funding will ensure that every child, regardless of their health or financial circumstances, has the opportunity to learn, connect and thrive.

We're proud to support Family Nursing & Home Care as they continue to deliver compassionate, family-centred care and create brighter opportunities for some of Jersey's most vulnerable children and young people.

A summer school with a difference, where the lessons are all about balance, confidence and a little bit of bravery.

Jersey Sport has been helping children stay active over the summer holidays through skateboarding sessions, giving them the chance to learn new skills, challenge themselves and most importantly have fun.

We’re proud that a grant from Jersey Community Foundation has helped make these sessions possible, supporting Jersey Sport to give more children the opportunity to get active and try something they might not otherwise have had the chance to do.

It was great to see the project featured on ITV News this week.

Take a look:

Watch the latest from ITV News - Jersey Sport has been putting on skateboarding sessions throughout the summer to help keep our young people active in the school holidays.

Did you know, fewer than one in five local charitable organisations receive corporate donations?

Many remain overly reliant on short-term grants and volunteer goodwill, limiting their ability to innovate, collaborate or plan sustainably.
But, with over 500 registered charities to choose from it can be difficult to find the time and expertise to approach corporate giving efficiently.

If you are a business looking to help our Island community through regular financial donations we’d love to hear from you.

Let us take the pressure off you.

We can work with you to align your company values and purpose with local causes and organisations that reflect these and provide updates on where the funding goes and the impact it has. Alternatively, we can pool your funds with others and allocate these where we know the greatest need is.

🎨 Supporting creativity, connection and wellbeing across our community

We're delighted to support Art in the Frame Foundation with a £6,300 grant to help expand its creative wellbeing programmes for islanders of all ages.

For more than 20 years, Art in the Frame Foundation has been using the arts to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and help people build confidence through creativity. This funding will enable the charity to grow its community art sessions, including its popular Never Too Old groups, which now welcome more than 50 participants each week, as well as providing tailored support for people living with dementia, carers, young people and those experiencing mental or physical health challenges.

By creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where people can connect, learn new skills and express themselves, the project will help tackle loneliness, strengthen social connections and improve emotional wellbeing.

We're proud to support organisations like Art in the Frame Foundation that are making a real difference across Jersey, helping more people access the life-changing benefits of creativity.

We're pleased to award £40,000 from the Greville Bathe Fund to Mind Jersey to support its Community Engagement & Support Mental Health Drop-in Centre.

The drop-in centre, next to St Helier Town Hall, provides a warm, welcoming environment where people experiencing long-term mental health challenges can access companionship, practical support and a sense of belonging. Welcoming around 20–25 visitors each day, it offers a vital community space that helps reduce isolation, supports recovery, and connects people with volunteering, training, employment opportunities and other local services. The centre also works closely with partner organisations to ensure visitors can access the wider support they need as part of their recovery journey.

If your charity or community organisation is delivering projects that make a positive difference for Islanders, we'd love to hear from you. Find out more about our funding programmes and how to apply at https://www.jerseycommunityfoundation.org/our-funds.

Every pound you give to support Dementia Jersey via The Jersey France Challenge this weekend counts double.

A generous local donor is helping every donation go even further. Through their Donor Advised Fund with Jersey Community Foundation, they've pledged to match every pound raised for Dementia Jersey through this weekend's Jersey–France Swim, up to £20,000.

So, a £10 donation becomes £20. A £50 donation becomes £100 — all of it supporting Islanders living with dementia and their families.

Donor Advised Funds give individuals, families and businesses the flexibility to respond to opportunities exactly like this one.

Local swimmers hit the water this weekend. Please give what you can while your donation is worth twice as much. Donations can be made directly through the event fundraising page, and every pound given will be matched up to £20,000: https://sportsgiving.co.uk/sponsorship/event/5592
