Join our Board!

Jersey Community Foundation is looking to appoint two new Board members as part of our planned approach to Board succession and the next phase of the Foundation’s development.

Since JCF was established in 2020, we have grown significantly in both scale and reach. Today, we work across Jersey’s charitable and community sector, connecting donors with local need, distributing funding and helping to strengthen philanthropy across the Island.

This is an exciting time to join JCF. As our role continues to develop, we are looking for people who can bring new skills, experience and perspectives to an established and engaged Board and help shape the Foundation’s future.

For one appointment, we are specifically seeking someone with senior finance, accounting or audit experience. For the second, we are taking a broader approach and would welcome interest from people with a range of relevant skills, experience, perspectives and networks.

Previous Board or charity experience is not essential. We are interested in what you can bring to JCF, alongside a commitment to improving outcomes for Islanders and an interest in the role effective philanthropy can play in Jersey.

A new opportunity for health philanthropy in Jersey

Last week, at the Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s 'Choosing Jersey' lunch, we were delighted to announce the launch of the Island Health Fund.

Developed in partnership with Government and key stakeholders from across health and the wider community, and independently governed through Jersey Community Foundation, the Fund creates a new opportunity for individuals, families and businesses to support better health and wellbeing in Jersey.

The Fund could support areas including prevention and population health, innovation, improved patient experience and outcomes, research, and new approaches to care.

Importantly, the Island Health Fund is designed to complement, rather than replace, core Government health funding. It will create opportunities for philanthropy to add value, supporting innovation, accelerating new ideas and helping to fund initiatives that could make a real difference to health outcomes for Islanders.

The announcement formed part of a wider discussion about the role philanthropy can play as people choose Jersey as their home, and how we can make it easier for people to give well and have a meaningful impact locally.

Our Matched Giving Challenge could unlock up to £1 million for local charities and community projects!

Here's how it works: give between £10,000 and £50,000 and we'll match your donation £1 for £1. You can keep supporting the cause you care about, and the matched funding will go through the Jersey Community Fund to help even more people across the Island.

More than £150,000 has already been pledged – thank you to everyone who has got involved so far.

⏳ The Challenge is open until 31 October 2026, or until the match funding runs out.

The public consultation on Jersey's first ever Philanthropy Policy is now open. The policy is about making it easier to give, linking generosity more closely to local need, and helping charities, businesses, Government and donors work better together.

Applications Open - The Rivington Fund

Are you, or do you know someone who has a passion for art or history and would like to be able to travel abroad to expand their interest but isn’t able to for financial reasons?

Open to all Jersey residents regardless of age, gender or ability, the Rivington Fund offers the chance to travel off‑island and to explore new artistic or historical experiences.

Whether visiting world‑class galleries or museums, exploring ancient collections, attending significant cultural events, or developing their craft, the Fund can open doors and inspire Islanders to deepen their interests and bring that knowledge back to Jersey.
