The Importance of the Patient-Caregiver Relationship: the Virtuous Example of the Parkinson Cafè, by Tommaso Gandolfi & Giovanna Mastrotto

This week, we highlight the reality of the Parkinson Café, a philanthropic initiative supported by the Silvana and Bruno Mastrotto Foundation.

For over 10 years, it has provided a welcoming space where patients and caregivers come together, strengthening a network built on care, mutual support and shared experience.

In the latest issue of our magazine, Tommaso Gandolfi tells us about the activities and impact of this initiative, shedding light on the value of community-based approaches in supporting people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.

Nisevic, a researcher from the for IT & IP Law at KU Leuven, explores how health
data are managed within the evolving European regulatory landscape.

emerging EU approaches to Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.

TELEREHABILITATION, COMMUNICATION AND MULTIDISCIPLINARITY

In questa sesta – e ultima – parte dell’intervista condotta con l’equipe di ricerca dell’Università degli Studi di Verona, Silvia Francesca Storti – Professoressa Associata di bioingegneria presso l’Università degli Studi di Verona – illustra la pervasività della comunicazione all’interno del progetto di ricerca. La comunicazione viene qui descritta come una componente fondamentale sia nella relazione tra il team di ricerca e i pazienti, coinvolti dalla fase di definizione del paradigma sperimentale fino alla restituzione dei risultati ottenuti, sia all’interno del team di ricerca stesso, relativamente alla condivisione reciproca dei risultati e allo sforzo congiunto nel trovare un linguaggio comune e accessibile per trasmettere concetti talvolta molto tecnici ad interlocutori non esperti in materia🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🗣️✅🤝
