🌟 Celebrating One Year of Impact: The Vicenza Community Club! 🌟

Over the past year, our club has made a significant difference in the Vicenza community through generous giving, dedicated volunteer efforts, and fostering a spirit of connection. Here's a look at our impactful year:

💖 Charitable Giving & Grants:

Awarded a total of $74,939.35 in Community Grants, supporting 23 school-based organizations and multi-year projects like the Villagio bus.

Contributed $5,112.58 to Community Private Organization Partnerships, supporting 3 local organizations.

Awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 11 deserving students, plus an additional $300 Bright Eyes Scholarships to support young learners.

🎓 Supporting Education & Youth:

Our scholarships and grants are empowering the next generation and enriching local schools and youth programs.

🤝 Community Contributions:

Our VCC Thrift Store raised an impressive $184,034.10, funding future grants and scholarships for 2026-2027.

The thrift store has also provided over 498 service members with more than 1,500 articles of free military gear, supporting our dedicated servicemen and women.

Overall, our charitable contributions exceeded $100,000 this year, demonstrating our commitment to giving back.

🙌 Volunteerism & Engagement:

Over 4,400 volunteer hours logged through our events and thrift store efforts, fostering a connected and supportive community.

Hosted 11 luncheons and 7 sub-clubs focused on culture, activities, and community service.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible year. Your support and dedication have truly made a difference in the Vicenza community. We look forward to continuing our mission of service, connection, and impact in the coming year!

Celebrating Service & Community Impact 🌺

Today, the VCC Thrift Store celebrated the volunteers and staff behind an incredible year with a Volunteer Appreciation Luau!

Thrift Store Manager Katelyn Miller recognized our dedicated volunteers with Certificates of Appreciation, while VCC President Lauren Roark presented VCC awards for exceptional service and leadership. Our six Thrift Store staff members alone contributed more than 1,646 volunteer hours outside of their paid employment last fiscal year.

That dedication helped make an extraordinary year of community impact possible. During 2025–2026, the VCC invested more than $97,000 back into the Vicenza Military Community:

• $41,755 in grants
• $25,100 in community partnerships
• $20,000 in scholarships
• $11,000 toward multi-year community projects

The celebration concluded with one more special recognition as VCC Thrift Store received a Certificate of Appreciation from US Army Veterinary Readiness Activity, Italy, for the contributions to the community.

Behind every number are people who choose to serve. To our Thrift Store staff and volunteers: thank you for making the VCC mission possible!

The Vicenza Military Community is invited to an unforgettable masquerade evening filled with food, entertainment, and Venetian‑style flair. Masks and creative formalwear encouraged; military dress uniforms authorized.

💚💛 The VCC is open to all members of the Vicenza Military Community. The club operates the Thrift Store, provides tens of thousands of dollars to the VMC annually in scholarships and grants, sponsors the Bright Eyes program (which provides reimbursement for eyeglasses for children), and supports various community groups and agencies on post (over $75,000 in 2024-2025!!!). Our events are always tons of fun, a great way to support the organization and our community, and a fantastic way to meet new people. 💚💛
