Our Skills for Transition journey – powered by UniCredit continues in Bulgaria!

In Plovdiv, partner Institute for Technology Transfer and Innovations has prepared a hands-on training programme to explore climate change, clean energy, circular economy, green and digital entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship.

Through interactive activities, mentoring and peer learning, they will also develop their own green or social business ideas—from the first brainstorming session to the Business Model Canvas and final pitch.

The programme combines:
📘 20 hours of training
🏢 a 5-hour study visit
🛠️ 10 hours of practical workshops

The goal is to give young people knowledge, practical tools and, above all, the confidence to recognise new opportunities and play an active role in the green and digital transitions.

🌱 From 𝟭𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁, 35 young people gathered at 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘇 for the German edition - organised by KMGNE - of the Skills for Transition for NEETs training course.

Over five days, they:
🔎 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 their strengths and interests;
🌍 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 green skills and sustainable career opportunities;
🤝 𝗺𝗲𝘁 local entrepreneurs working in sustainable construction, agroforestry, organic farming and regenerative tourism;
💡 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 their own project and business ideas;
🎤 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 their plans and identified their next steps.

During the company visits, participants discovered inspiring local initiatives in sustainable construction and social entrepreneurship, regenerative tourism, agroforestry, and innovative village development.

Experiencing these solutions first-hand helped them 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁, with the confidence and tools to make a difference.

🌱 Summer isn’t stopping In Loco!

The Action Plan for Verona’s peripheral and rural areas is now fully underway. Activities are continuing at full speed! ☀️

Today, we’re taking you to Fittà (Soave) and Cazzano, where the co-design work carried out over the past few months is turning into concrete action:

📚 Learning Italian as a second language
🤝 Events and activities to meet, connect and build community
🔧 Hands-on DIY activities to develop greater autonomy in everyday life

At Glocal Factory, we believe young people should not simply be prepared for the future — they should have the opportunity to shape it!
At a time when imagining the future can feel increasingly difficult, creating meaningful opportunities and safe spaces where young people can express themselves freely, make their voices heard and bring their personalities, ideas and perspectives into the conversation matters more than ever.
Through the projects we are currently implementing and the local networks and partnerships we build, we aim to offer young people high-quality experiences where they can learn by doing, develop transversal skills, discover their strengths and gain greater confidence in themselves and in what they can achieve.
That’s why we involve young people not only as ''participants'', but as active contributors, creators and changemakers. Because meaningful youth participation starts with trust, quality opportunities and a real voice 🌻

🌍 Learning beyond borders!
Through the Erasmus+ KA1 project 2024-1-IT02-KA121-ADU-000230255, 18 members of the Aenet Consortium took part in training and mobility experiences across Europe, strengthening their skills, exchanging good practices, and building international partnerships. For us, Glocal Factory, Arci nazionale, and PRISM Impresa Sociale, these mobilities were an opportunity to grow professionally while exploring topics such as Human Rights, intercultural dialogue, civic education, organizational well-being, and international solidarity.

🌱The 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗧𝘀 training course is underway in Sarajevo, organized by CRSP - Centar za Razvoj Socijalnog Poduzetništva!

The first part of the programme combined expert-led sessions with practical workshops on green transition, sustainable development and green business.

The programme also took learning outside the classroom, with visits focused on electronic-waste recycling at 𝗭𝗘𝗢 𝗲𝗸𝗼-𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. These practical experiences showed how green solutions are already being applied locally.

This is only the beginning: the learning journey will continue in August with more workshops, training and field activities. 🌱
