Kesha Niya Kitchen is a project that has systematically ignored and denied sexual abuse inside the organisation. They run the central kitchen of the refugee camp La Liniere in Grande-Synthe, France. Since March 2016, their members have ignored the volunteers' reports, made them apologize to their rapists, begged them not to report to the authorities and threatened them with violence in case of ret
urning to the camp. The project has been registered on site under various NGOs, such as Kesha Niya, SWK - Verein für eine Schönere Willkommenskultur and Volxküche Munich. To show solidarity with the victims and increase awareness of this rarely mentioned cause, I have changed the donation links and main images of the page to content belonging to Report the Abuse, a Swiss NGO committed to highlighting the sexual abuse in development and aid sector, often hidden from the public for the fear of aid cuts and unjustified racism. I am in no way affiliated with this NGO, but even the existence of such an initiative fills me with hope. I have kept the contact links for the original project, in case you want to reach out to them and ask them to change their hurtful practices.
