Let’s discover the 10 Categories of the competition.
Last Week to Apply ⌛️

Open to all artists worldwide, regardless of age, nationality, or background, with free theme and complete creative freedom.

Ready to showcase your vision? Swipe to discover the 10 techniques admitted and all the technical requirements you need to know to apply! 👉

1. Environmental / Land Art
🌿 Artworks and projects designed to interact deeply with the nature, landscape, or environment for which they were conceived. There are no limitations on the choice of specific environment or location.

2. Urban Art and Street Art
🫟 Projects and works that relate directly to the urban fabric and public space (street art, redevelopment, graffiti, stencil art). Any technique is allowed (spray cans, stickers, video projections, installations, etc.). No location limits.

3. Performance and Acting
🎭 Performances by one or more artists, including monologues/theatrical scenes in any language (with English translation) and acting style.

4. Video Art and Short Films
🎬 Videos, films, slow motion, time-lapse, short films, promotional videos, computer graphics, and all animation techniques are welcome (on digital/analog mediums).

5. Art Design
📐 Productions originating in the artistic sphere that find their perfect application in the world of design. Works, products, and projects where artistic influence and inspiration are clearly evident.

6. Virtual and Digital Art
Artworks where digital media is key to the process: net art, software, AI, VR/XR, interactive devices, videogames, augmented reality, robotics, blockchain, NFTs, Metaverse, GAN & OpenAI art.

7. Digital Graphics and Cartoon
👾 Images generated or modified via computer, tablet, or smartphone where tech intervention is predominant. Includes Digital Painting, GIF Art, Digital Animation, Infographic/Glitch Art, cartoons, comics, and manipulated photos.

8. Photographic Art
📸 Submit single photographs or a series of photographs, in color or black and white, on either analog or digital support.

9. Sculpture and Installation
🗿 Create with any organic or inorganic material. Your artwork can include sounds, lights,

FORM WITHOUT FORM: an example of the impact of Arte Laguna Prize in Shanghai 🌍
🗓️ On June 13th, the inauguration of "Form Without Form" took place at K6 Space, HIRI Taikoo Hui in Shanghai. The exhibition, open until July 5th, features the works of Professor Joseph Tham in dialogue with the following artists from the Arte Laguna Prize network: Karma M. Barnes, Mario Valdés, Kuo-Hsiang Kuo, Gosia Wojas, Vittorio Mandelli, and Dongli Ma. 🤝

Beyond the Prize there is a Global Network. 🗺️ This event concretely reflects Arte Laguna Prize's mission: it's not just the finalists' exhibition in Venice, but a permanent international catalyst for the growth and internationalization of artists. The goal is to open concrete doors in the global market, connecting talent with world-class curators, institutions, and galleries.

Let’s welcome another key member of the jury for the 21st edition: Wang Chunchen 🇨🇳🏛️

As a Professor and Chief Curator at the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, Wang Chunchen is one of the most influential voices in contemporary art criticism and curation. With a career spanning from curating the Chinese Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale to his roles at the CAFAM Research Center and international fellowships at institutions like the Tate Research Centre, he brings an extraordinary depth and curatorial vision to our panel.

His expertise will be instrumental in selecting the 120 finalists for our upcoming exhibition at the Arsenale Nord. 🗺
