L'obiettivo di ESN è promuovere l'integrazione sociale e personale degli studenti che partecipano a programmi di mobilità.

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) è un'associazione europea di studenti universitari, fondata nel 1989 e riconosciuta dalla Commissione Europea, il cui scopo è supportare gli scambi internazionali fra studenti. L'essenza di ESN sta nel principio HSH, ossia Students Helping Students. Infatti, le sezioni locali offrono aiuto, supporto, informazioni. Inoltre organizzano gite, feste, attività per promuove

re l'integrazione europea nel rispetto del motto "unity in diversity". ESN VENEZIA è una delle 54 sezioni di ESN Italia. Dapprima è nata come associazione studentesca dell’Università Ca’ Foscari nel 2010; successivamente, nel 2011, è diventata ufficialmente una sezione di ESN. I membri si occupano di supportare gli studenti Erasmus e internazionali durante il loro soggiorno in Italia per aiutarli a vivere al meglio la loro esperienza veneziana e a sentirsi parte di una grande famiglia multiculturale.
