Thank you to One Ocean Foundation for inviting ZEITGEIST19 to participate in Milan Ocean Week.
ZEITGEIST19 co-founder and co-curator of As Above So Below, Collateral Event of La Biennale di Venezia Farah Piriye took part in two panel discussions as part of the programme.
On the first day, following the screening of Requiem for the Caspian, directed by and co-produced by , Farah joined the Producers’ Talk to discuss the making of the film, the environmental crisis facing the Caspian Sea, and the project’s evolution into an immersive installation presented within As Above, So Below at La Biennale di Venezia
On the second day, Farah was joined by artist Antoine Bertin Antoine Bertin to discuss the curatorial concept behind As Above, So Below, Antoine’s participation in the exhibition and residency programme, and the ways artistic practice can help us listen more closely to the living systems that sustain us.
We are deeply grateful to ONE OCEAN FOUNDATION for creating a platform where these conversations can take place, and for welcoming us to such a beautiful stage at Museo dei Bambini Milano. There could hardly be a more fitting place to discuss art, sustainability, and environmental stewardship than a museum dedicated to children, the generation that will inherit the oceans, ecosystems, and future we are shaping today.
