Op mijn laatste dag in Venetië maakte ik een rondje over het San Marco-plein en nam, net als elke toerist, een foto 📸🕊️Maar dit plein was voor mij meer dan een toeristische trekpleister; hier heb ik de afgelopen dagen vergaderd met buitengewone vrouwen die me hebben geïnspireerd en met wie ik ideeën heb uitgewisseld ✨🇮🇹

Als trotse vertegenwoordiger van was het ongelooflijk om te zien hoeveel waardering ons werk krijgt, zowel in Nederland als internationaal ❤️12,5 jaar geleden had ik nooit durven dromen dat onze strijd voor de erkenning van huwelijkse gevangenschap zoveel impact zou hebben. Ik ben er trots op dat Nederland als eerste land ter wereld dit officieel heeft erkend 🇳🇱👰🏻‍♀️Maar we stoppen niet hier, want huwelijkse gevangenschap is een wereldwijd probleem, en wij blijven strijden voor erkenning en bestrijding hiervan 🌍🇺🇳🇪🇺

Het was een eer om namens FFF deel te nemen aan de Global Dialogue Week 2024, waar ik met invloedrijke vrouwen van over de hele wereld onze missie heb kunnen delen en van elkaar heb geleerd 💪Samen staan we sterker!🙏💕💫

Swipe left to see moments from an incredible day in New York City! 🌟 I had the privilege of continuing my journey at the , an inspiring event organized by Vital Voices that brings together mentors and mentees to share knowledge and experiences.

The day culminated with an inspiring gathering hosted by Diane von Furstenberg in her studio, featuring impactful women like Inna Braverman, Hellena Lunkuse, Zeinorin Angkang, Sarah El Battouty, Michelle Hong, and Aline Sara. Led by Diane von Furstenberg, Alyse Nelson, and Zainab Salbi, we delved into our journeys, discussing the paths that have led us to become changemakers in our fields.

This gathering was more than a meeting; it was a celebration of the powerful force of female leadership. We celebrated the power of collective action and the impact of empowering one another.
