OWSD is at the Eurasia Higher Education Summit ( ) this week to give the closing plenary session on “Advancing Gender Equality in Science”.

OWSD Coordinator Tonya Blowers presented “From Individuals to Institutions and from Local to Global: How the OWSD is Transforming Higher Education,” highlighting systemic change through global networks.

OWSD Executive Board regional members Tista Prasai Joshi and Nadia Ayub both shared “A Personal Journey of Leadership and Impact in Higher Education,” offering personal and impactful perspectives on advancing gender equality in academia.

The session underscored the importance of inclusive leadership and collective action in shaping a more equitable future for science and higher education.

OWSD announces the jury for the Short Talks, Big Impacts 2026 global finale!

The panel represents the collaboration between UNESCO, TWAS – The World Academy of Sciences, The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and the SiS FVG network, the Scientific System of Trieste where OWSD is based.

The jury will assess the finalists selected from four regional sessions, alongside an audience vote during the event on 11 March at 15:00 CET.
