'My time at ICGEB has been transformational. I've learned an enormous amount here: building analysis pipelines in R, the fundamentals of cancer research and computational histopathology, and scientific writing'.

Aamilah Ismail from Sri Lanka, is in her third year at New York University Abu Dhabi, majoring in Computer Engineering. As a intern, Aamilah joined the Bioinformatics Unit investigating how much of a tumour's molecular biology can be recovered from histopathological H&E slides alone.
