Note from LEONIE ROESSLER:
I am a bit flabbergasted (a word which I use sparingly but if I do with enthusiasm) to have been offered the "Studiezondag" by Radioarte in Italy. 24 hours of my work on four consecutive Sundays. I made two times 12 out of it, focusing only on my work with art radio and field recording. Each Sunday I will highlight a different section of what I put together, and make sure to thank everyone who was part of my artistic journey. Before deeply diving into my own work in art radio, I saw it fitting to devote the beginning to three Radio LOOS projects that meant a lot to me. With Meira Asher on Palestine. Our conversations and her work from 5 years ago, before the acceleration of the destruction of Palestine. Jeremy Young's work on response to police brutality in the US, in conversation with Meira, Em Schwarzwald and me. And "On Art, Disability, Barriers, and Chances". Wonderful works and interviews with artists with disabilities. Have you ever considered that many theaters are wheelchair-accessible for the audience, but that there is no way to get up onto the stage in a wheelchair? These shows go far beyond that.
