A new article is out! 🌱

Strengthening young people’s participation in democratic life means creating opportunities to learn, exchange perspectives and actively engage with the issues that affect their communities.

Participation and Youth Empowerment Through Civic Education brings together a collection of examples, practices and participatory approaches exploring how civic education can support young people in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to take an active role in democratic and community life.

The collection includes experiences from the Balkans, practical participation methods and examples of how young people can move from expressing their views to collecting evidence, developing ideas and engaging with stakeholders.

It also provided a basis for the participatory activities planned in Tempio Pausania, connecting wider experiences of youth participation with a local context.

Green Echo Workshop 1 – Youth for Sustainability will take place in Brussels on 3–4 November, bringing young people, youth workers and civil society representatives together for two days of learning and collaboration.

Through practical workshops and shared learning, participants will explore green skills, recycling, biodiversity, responsible energy use and sustainable lifestyles. They will exchange ideas and work together to co-design an eco-action addressing a local sustainability challenge—turning shared knowledge into plans for community action.

The workshop takes place under MV International’s Erasmus+ Structural Grant, which supports youth empowerment and stronger youth civil society across Europe. Through non-formal education, intercultural dialogue and international cooperation, the wider programme promotes sustainability alongside democratic participation, active citizenship, inclusion and digital literacy, helping young people become active contributors to their communities.

🌍 From the 17th to 21st of September, MV International hosted the Training Course of "MigraACT” and has welcomed project partners to take part in this new step for our project..

The MigraACT Youth Migrants in Action project – a capacity building project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme taking action in Capacity Building.

The MigraACT Project aims at promoting the personal, social, and professional integration of young migrants in Europe through non-formal education (NFE) approaches. Through this project, the objective is to support young migrants in developing their skills, by equipping the professionals and volunteers who work with them with practical tools, including a training manual and a toolkit, tested through local workshops.

The event started on September 16th in Sassari, Italy, and lasted until September 21st. The entire course involved partners from 4 countries, Germany🇩🇪, Italy🇮🇹, Lebanon🇱🇧 and Tunisia🇹🇳 and addressed the real needs of young migrants and the role of those who work alongside them.

🗓️ During five full training days, youth workers, cultural mediators and volunteers explored Non-Formal Education methodologies, strengthened their public speaking skills and discovered how digital storytelling can give a voice to migrants' experiences. A cultural visit of Sassari, Italy rounded off the week and gave participants a chance to connect in a more informal setting.

🌱 From green awareness to local action: discover the ECHO Green Skills Guide!

As part of the ECHO participatory pillar, MV International has developed the ECHO Green Skills Guide: a practical resource designed to help young people, youth workers, educators and organisations turn sustainability learning into youth-led environmental action.
The Guide combines non-formal education and meaningful youth participation, offering practical methods and ready-to-use tools on topics such as:
♻️ circular economy and responsible resource use
🌿 biodiversity and local ecosystems
⚡ energy and climate action
🤝 collaborative problem-solving and environmental citizenship
💡 co-designing realistic local eco-actions

At the heart of the Guide is a simple idea: young people should not only learn about environmental challenges — they should have the tools and space to investigate them, propose solutions and take action in their own communities!
The resource includes a transferable workshop model, practical activities, an Eco-Action Canvas, reflection tools and guidance for adapting the methodology to different local contexts.

Building skills and strengthening cooperation in Sassari!

On 22 September 2026, MV International and our project partners came together in Sassari, Italy, for the transnational partner meeting of MigraACT – Youth Migrants in Action.

From reviewing the training course in Sassari to discussing local training activities, project evaluation and sustainability, the meeting focused on taking the next steps in our capacity-building journey together.

Partners also discussed the “Enhancing young migrants’ skills” manual and the “Toolkit for promoting young migrants’ skills”, alongside local workshops to test the project’s training format and toolkit—connecting project development with practical learning opportunities.

Thank you to all our partners for your contributions and collaboration. Together, let’s keep building skills and turning learning into action!

The ECHO Dialogues Youth Assembly – Circle II is coming to Brussels on 20–21 October, bringing together young people, youth workers, civil society representatives and policy stakeholders.

Through interactive workshops, thematic discussions and co-creation sessions, the Assembly will explore democratic participation, inclusion, digital citizenship, media literacy and sustainability. Participants will exchange experiences, develop recommendations and explore practical ways to strengthen youth engagement in their communities and across Europe.

This event takes place under MV International’s Erasmus+ Structural Grant, supporting the network’s mission to empower young people and strengthen youth civil society across Europe. Rooted in non-formal education and intercultural dialogue, the programme creates learning, mobility and collaboration opportunities that promote active citizenship, inclusion, digital literacy, sustainability and international cooperation.

💡 FUTURENTITY – Citizens Councils for European Integration, AI in Future Identity, and Human-Centred Digital Citizenship is a CERV project focused on citizens’ engagement and participation in an increasingly digital and AI-driven society.

🧭 At the heart of FUTURENTITY is the idea that European identity is constantly evolving — and citizens should have an active role in shaping its future. The project promotes a human-centred, rights-based and participatory approach to digital citizenship across Europe.

🔎 FUTURENTITY explores three interconnected dimensions:

🪪 Digital Identity & Belonging — understanding how technology and AI influence who we are and how we connect as Europeans.
