"Phoenicea" welcomes you in his own page with these verses of the poem "The rain of pine trees" by Gabriele d'Annunzio. The juniper (scientific name: Juniperus phoenicea) is a symbol: it stands for us the belonging of this land, crossroads of the Mediterranean. We used its scientific epithet to give the name to our association. "Phoenicea " represents the will of a group of friends, engaged in defending a territory , disclose its knowledge, with the right attention to the exploitation of the information contained in this precious wealth. " Phoenicea" wants to promote the local sustainability in marine and coastal environments, lakes, wetlands or other natural environments in which to practice sport, research and study activities, it also wants to spread the knowledge of the culture and history of these places, through the collaboration of card-carrying members, institutions and other organizations in Sardinia. For that reason, it endorses its members’ skills, their competence and intellectual judgment that which hail from their professionalism.
