While Bumble is replacing the "swipe" with AI, Tinder’s CEO just admitted that Gen Z is ditching the app because using it “feels too much like a job”.
The numbers behind this dating burnout are wild:
📈 100 million more singles globally (The Economist)
📉 while Tinder active users dropped by 7%.
79% of Gen Z feels exhausted by dating apps.
According to Forbes, the reasons for this burnout are:
❌ 40%, lack of real connection;
💔 35%, disappointment after meeting in real life;
👎 27%, constant rejection;
🔁 24%, having the exact same, repetitive small talk.
