🩺🩸ADMO volunteers are returning to the university to give you the opportunity to join the IBMDR (Italian Bone Marrow Donor Registry).
🗓️ On Wednesday, April 15th and Thursday, April 16th, you can find an information desk in the Library area. Stop by to get all the details you need to take part in this important initiative!
Did you know that a patient has only a 1 in 100,000 chance of finding a compatible donor?
Unfortunately, our immune system is incredibly complex. This makes finding a matching donor—that single 1-in-100,000 chance to save a life—extremely difficult. Many patients suffering from leukemia and other blood cancers, as well as severe forms of aplastic anemia, can only find a cure through a bone marrow transplant (which should not be confused with the spinal cord).
Did you know that YOU could be that one hope for life?
Exactly! As you read these lines, someone somewhere in the world is waiting for a compatible donor, and that person could be YOU. Have you ever thought about it?
