AURES

AURES (Avoiding Uncomfortable Rate for Ear Safety) is a device created to solve the problem of barotrauma during the descending phase of a flight.

AURES is composed by a mask and a headphone in order to guarantee an optimal rate of pressure change, about 125 ft/min, compared to the 300 ft/min of pressurization plant of the aircfraft. The barotrauma occurs with ear pain and discomfort, caused by the different pressure between outer and medium ear.
