The 2026 CMAS European Championship Finswimming Indoor Juniors officially opened in Chios, Greece, marking a significant milestone for our sport.
This year’s championship brings together 18 participating nations — the highest number in the last ten years. This record level of participation reflects the continued growth, strength, and development of finswimming across Europe, as well as the dedication of athletes, coaches, federations, and organisers.
The opening ceremony was attended by Anna Arzhanova, President of CMAS; Alexandros Xiarchos, Director of the CMAS Finswimming Commission; and Mr Ioannis Malafis, Mayor of Chios.
At the same time, we regret that certain countries were unable to participate in this year's event due to visa issues.
We warmly welcome all participating nations to Chios and look forward to an exciting championship celebrating the future of European finswimming.
