On 9 March 2026, partners of the Young People for Resilient Communities (YoReC) project gathered in Budapest for the third Transnational Partner Meeting. The meeting was hosted by Cooperative City and took place in a hybrid format, allowing some partners to participate in person while others joined online.

The meeting provided an important moment for partners to reflect on the progress of the project and coordinate the next phases of work. Discussions focused on the implementation of the YoReC Research (R1) and on how its results can support the development of the following project outputs and be shared with the project’s target groups.

Partners also reviewed the ongoing development of the YoReC Toolkit (R2) and the YoReC Video Tutorials (R3), discussing the work carried out so far and the steps still needed to complete these resources. Updates were also presented on the future YoReC App (R4) and the YoReC Digital Archive (R5), which will collect and make accessible the materials produced during the project.

The meeting also included sessions dedicated to communication and dissemination activities, as well as monitoring and evaluation, ensuring that the project continues to move forward in line with its objectives.

Beyond the technical discussions, the meeting offered partners a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, address challenges and strengthen collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment to support young people in building more resilient communities.

What truly makes a neighborhood a community? 🏘️✨

It’s the places that become daily landmarks, spaces for listening, and engines of active citizenship. It’s the people and their tireless commitment to building bridges.

Through their stories, we’ll discover how to become true agents of change, resilience, and sustainability within our territories. 🌍🌱

We are excited to share the results and stories from our Erasmus+ YOREC workshops! Join us as we explore the impact of grassroots engagement.

The 10th Short Film Ceremony of Fânzeres and São Pedro da Cova took place last 5 th of December, with around 90 short films competing at the national level.

Associação Social de Silveirinhos received the "Local Shorts" award for a work entitled "The Land That Breathed Men" produced as part of the project, co-financed by Erasmus Plus.

It is an animated documentary, using mixed media techniques, with storytelling, stop-motion, interviews with living mine workers, animated forms (puppets and others), etc. The entire process involved young community animators, volunteers, and people with disabilities and/or mental illness.

The 10th National Short Film Competition was launched in the Union of Parishes of Fânzeres and São Pedro da Cova.

“It is with pride that we present the 10th short film competition. 10 years is a remarkable milestone and therefore we will try to surpass previous years. Our focus should be on promoting the competition so that it is more widely known and attracts more people. We want to target young university students, young promising talents in Portuguese cinema; we will do everything in our power, which is also very important to us,” said the president of the Union of Parishes of Fânzeres and São Pedro da Cova, Sofia Martins.

This year's poster features James Dean, "symbolizing the 70th anniversary of his death. That year, three of his films were nominated for an Oscar, and he was nominated for Best Actor. He didn't win, but he left a legacy of films, and we wanted to pay him this tribute," says the head of the organization, Pedro Barbosa.

🎙️ Microphones in Motion — Podcasting Workshop for YOREC!

How do you tell a story through sound?
During “Microfoni in movimento”, the YOREC podcasting workshop curated by Storie di Mondi Possibili participants explored the power of voice, rhythm, and memory. Together, we learned how to record, edit, and shape personal and collective stories into immersive audio experiences.

This activity is part of the YOREC project, dedicated to empowering young people to strengthen their communities through storytelling.

Stay tuned — our community voices are on the move! 🎧✨
