"While the World Cup is often framed as an opportunity for economic growth and global visibility, these realities highlight the risks of deepening structural violence and inequality if human rights protections are not placed at the center of planning and implementation.
Our Dominican response to the World Cup as with any events, program, or policy, must be grounded in the JPIC priorities, specifically concerning human trafficking and economic justice."

🌎From June 3rd to 7th, the International Justice and Peace Promoters and the DSIC Coordinating Council are convening in Rome, Italy. The purpose of this meeting is to enhance communication and strategic collaboration between JPIC Promoters and Continental Coordinators, ensuring that advocacy for justice and peace is fully integrated into the lives and ministry of Dominican women globally.

June 5th marked a dedicated formation day, guided by two Sisters with a rich history of leadership in Justice and Peace advocacy.
Sr. Sheila Kinsey, FCJM led the morning workshop, focused on defining priorities and to determine "what is ours to do". Sr. Toni Harris, OP facilitated the afternoon session, anchoring the work of Justice and Peace within the core of the Dominican charism.
