ASSEMBLEA VERSO LA VIA MAESTRA DEL 17 OTTOBRE
Oggi ci siamo ritrovati in assemblea con i rider di Roma per parlare della questione dello sfruttamento. Da quando glovo e deliveroo sono finite sotto inchiesta non è cambiato nulla. Pretendiamo che i rider vengano inquadrati come subordinati e che ricevano paghe più alte.
Ci siamo confrontati poi su come gli spazi della città vengano attraversati dai rider stessi, che la maggior parte delle volte sono lavoratori con background migratorio. Costretti quindi a subire discriminazioni ed esclusione sociale. Come nidil CGIL vogliamo cambiare tendenza e creare sempre più spazi sicuri per questi lavoratori, dove possano discutere, confrontarsi, aggregarsi e fare comunità. Farlo in questo periodo, in cui i salari sono intaccati da un’inflazione incalzante, ci sembra più che doveroso, anzi necessario.
Per questo ci vediamo in piazza il 17 Ottobre alle 13.30, a Piazza della Repubblica. Se sei un rider unisciti a noi!

ASSEMBLY TOWARD “LA VIA MAESTRA” ON OCTOBER 17
Today we met in assembly with Rome’s riders to discuss the issue of exploitation. Since Glovo and Deliveroo came under investigation, nothing has changed. We demand that riders be recognized as employees and receive higher wages.
We also discussed how riders move through the city’s spaces—most of them being workers with a migrant background—who are therefore forced to face discrimination and social exclusion. As NIDIL CGIL, we want to reverse this trend and create more and more safe spaces for these workers, where they can talk, confront each other, gather, and build community. Doing this now, in a period where wages are eroded by rising inflation, feels not only appropriate but necessary.
