Lori-Ann Touchette and Paolo Porelli are happy to present the non-profit association C.R.E.T.A. We chose the Italian word for clay 'creta' because its initials spell out our main activities. rome has two studios for its activities that are located in:

-via dei Delfini nº 16/17, 00186 Rome, in the heart of historic Rome between th

e Capitoline Hill and the Jewish Ghetto
-near Anguillara Sabazia and the lake of Bracciano

Presentano i lavori creati durante la loro residenza di maggio a CRETA Rome. Guardando in su e in giù sono stati ispirati dall’architettura e la natura, il mito e la religione di Roma. C.R.E.T.A. Rome is pleased to invite you to the group exhibition “Up and Down: myth religion nature of the American artists Natalie Thedford, Kate Roberts, Julia Harman and Lauren Elder. They are presenting the work created during their residency in May at C.R.E.T.A. Rome. Looking up and down, they were inspired by Rome’s architecture and nature, as well as its myths and religion. C.R.E.T.A. Rome è lieta di invitarti alla mostra collettiva “Carta, Cartone e Tè” degli artisti Colleen Dwyer (Canada), Grace Han (Corea del sud) e Rodrigo Torres (Brasile). Carta, Cartone e Tè sono tre chiavi di lettura dell’opera realizzata dagli artisti durante la residenza a C.R.E.T.A. Rome. Paperclay è la materia usata da Colleen mentre cartone è la materia a cui Rodrigo allude e il tè è la ragione per cui Grace crea le sue teiere. L’esposizione a cura di Paolo Porelli and Lori-Ann Touchette, si terrà nella galleria di C.R.E.T.A. Rome in via dei Delfini, 17 il 25 aprile 2026, ora 18:00.

Paperclay is the material Colleen uses, whilst cardboard is the material Rodrigo refers to, and tea is the reason why Grace makes her teapots. Goodbye to , we had a wonderful week together in Rome, visiting the best museums with stunning masterpieces, modeling clay and painting with maiolica technique. Creta Rome would like to thank all the talented students that animated this creative time. We want also thank and Ryan Gregg for their collaboration with us to make this happen. C.R.E.T.A. Rome è lieta di invitarti alla mostra personale “Il grottesco divino: ricerca sui materiali nella faience blu egiziana” dell’artista Auriea Harvey (USA/Belgio). Il personale presenta i lavori creati durante la sua residenza a C.R.E.T.A. Rome dove ha esplorato come la “faience” blu egiziana poteva illuminare le sue domande contemporanee sulla bellezza, la mostruosità e la trasformazione culturale. Per la mostra condividerà il processo ed alcuni esempi dei suoi esperimenti con questa nuova materialità blu. L’esposizione a cura di Paolo Porelli si terrà nella galleria di C.R.E.T.A. C.R.E.T.A. Rome is pleased to invite you to the solo exhibition “The Divine Grotesque: Research on Materials in Egyptian Blue Faience” by artist Auriea Harvey (USA/Belgium). The solo exhibition presents works created during her residency at C.R.E.T.A. Rome, where she explored how Egyptian blue faience could illuminate her contemporary questions about beauty, monstrosity, and cultural transformation. For the exhibition, she will share the process and some examples of her experiments with this new blue materiality. The exhibition, curated by Paolo Porelli, will be held at the C.R.E.T.A. Rome gallery in Via dei Delfini, 17 on February 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
