April has been another dynamic and productive month for PAL Network and its partners, marked by impactful initiatives promoting inclusion, education, equality, and social empowerment across Europe. Through Erasmus+ projects, awareness events, focus groups, and international collaborations, we continue to support vulnerable communities and strengthen innovative practices in education, youth work, mental health, gender equality, and sustainable development.

This month’s highlights include the implementation of the POLAR project focus group in Belgium, the launch of the Proud Ambassadors MOOC platform supporting LGBTQIA+ youth inclusion, the inspiring “Voices of Diversity” Storytelling Nights under the Resilient Threads project, and important discussions on pay transparency and gender equality through the FAIR PAY initiative. At the same time, partners across Europe advanced innovative projects in sustainable agriculture, co-design learning, migrant inclusion, psychosocial development, and youth engagement through creative and community-based activities.

Romani Women’s Futures Forum: Roma Week 2026

Investing in Romani women means sharing power, resources, and responsibility.

During Roma Week 2026, the Forum brought together Romani women activists, Roma and pro-Roma organizations, institutions, local representatives, and human rights experts to discuss the future of Romani women and girls in Europe.

Across the panels, a clear message emerged: the barriers faced by Romani women are not individual problems, but structural and institutional ones. Discrimination in education, employment, healthcare, housing, public services, and decision-making spaces continues to limit rights and opportunities.

Speakers underlined that Romani women are too often invited only symbolically, without real power. True investment means more than funding: it means participation, representation, safety, trust, long-term support, and direct resources for grassroots organizations led by Romani women.

The Forum also challenged the language of “resilience.” Romani women should not be expected to adapt to unjust systems. Institutions must become more accountable.

Romani women are already leading change in their communities. Now, power and resources must be shared to move from formal inclusion to a truly just democracy.

Today we are in Brussels at Roma Week 2026, where we came to share, connect, and speak about the importance of Roma rights, inclusion, and representation. Proud to be part of this important event and to raise our voice together.
