🎓🌍 DAY 4 | CLOSING THE 3rd ECO4ALL TRAINING SCHOOL: FROM LEARNING TO ACTION

On 13 June 2026, the 3rd ECO4ALL Training School successfully concluded at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, bringing to an end four inspiring days of learning, collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange.

📌 The final day was dedicated to:
🔹 Presentation of group work results and key recommendations developed by trainees throughout the Training School;
🔹 Mentoring and follow-up discussions with trainers and experts;
🔹 Blitz interviews, where trainees shared their experiences, key takeaways, and reflections on the circular economy transition and the value of international collaboration;
🔹 The official Closing Ceremony and awarding of Certificates of Participation.

🎤 The trainee presentations demonstrated not only the knowledge gained during the Training School but also the creativity, critical thinking, and commitment of young researchers to advancing circular economy solutions that work for consumers and society.

💡 The blitz interviews provided an excellent opportunity to capture participants’ insights, future research ambitions, and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of the circular economy transition.

🏆 The Training School concluded with the awarding of certificates to all participants, recognising their active engagement and successful completion of the programme.

🌍♻️ DAY 3 | Exploring resilience, methodology and stakeholder engagement in the circular economy

On 12 June 2026, participants of the 3rd ECO4ALL Training School continued their intensive learning programme with a strong focus on research methodology, resilient communities, and stakeholder engagement in the circular economy transition.

📚 During the third day, trainees explored:

🔹 Methodological approaches for circular economy research and analysis;
🔹 Practical challenges in assessing circular economy initiatives and impacts;
🔹 The role of resilient destinations and local communities in supporting sustainable development;
🔹 Interdisciplinary perspectives linking consumer protection, sustainability, and circular economy policies.

🎓 The day featured interactive sessions delivered by ECO4ALL trainers: Gerry Aiken, Dimitra Manou, Sofia Garane

💡 Through group discussions, case analyses, and collaborative activities, trainees further developed their capacity to transform research findings into practical solutions and policy recommendations.

👏 We thank all trainers, trainees, and organisers for their active participation and valuable contributions throughout the third day of the Training School.

📍 Tomorrow, participants will present the outcomes of their group work, take part in short dissemination interviews, and receive their Certificates of Participation during the Closing Ceremony.

♻️🌍 DAY 2 | From theory to practice: Circular economy in action

On 11 June 2026, participants of the 3rd ECO4ALL Training School continued their learning journey by exploring practical tools, case studies, and real-life examples supporting the transition towards a circular economy.

📚 The second day focused on:
🔹 Interactive strategic tools for circular economy implementation;
🔹 Sustainability, transparency, and trust in sustainable development;
🔹 Circular economy case studies and practical solutions;
🔹 Collaborative discussions and exchange of experiences among trainees and trainers.

🌱 A highlight of the day was the visit to INCOMMON, a Greek civil society organisation actively promoting circular economy initiatives and sustainable practices at the local community level.

Through this stakeholder engagement activity, participants had the opportunity to learn how circular economy principles can be translated into concrete actions that:
✅ extend the lifecycle of resources;
✅ promote reuse and waste reduction;
✅ encourage community participation;
✅ support environmental sustainability and social impact.

🤝 The visit offered valuable insights into the role of civil society organisations in advancing circular economy objectives and strengthening cooperation between researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and local communities.

🚀🌍 Day 1 | Official Launch of the 3rd ECO4ALL Training School (10–13 June 2026)

📍 On 10 June 2026, the ECO4ALL COST Action (CA22124) officially launched its 3rd Training School, hosted by the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. 🇬🇷

🎤 The Training School was officially opened by Prof. , Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of the ECO4ALL COST Action, and Assoc. Prof. Dimitra Manou WG4 Leader.

Under the theme “Circular Economy: Legal and Policy Perspectives for Supporting Transition”, the Training School brings together 21 trainees from across Europe, guided by 7 trainers and experts, creating a unique environment for capacity building, knowledge exchange, and international networking.

During the first day, participants explored key legal and policy dimensions of the circular economy transition through lectures and interactive discussions delivered by:

🎓 – presenting legal and policy perspectives supporting the transition to a circular economy;

🎓 Исидора Милошевић – introducing strategic tools for circular economy transition;

🎓 Dubravka Aksamovic – discussing sustainability, transparency, and trust as drivers of sustainable economic development.

The programme also included an interactive World Café session facilitated by Dimitra Manou, encouraging participants to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and identify innovative solutions for advancing circular economy policies and consumer protection.

The Training School reflects the core COST values of excellence, networking, interdisciplinarity, and support for young researchers, while fostering dialogue between academia, policy-makers, practitioners, and stakeholders.

📢 ECO4ALL WG4 Meeting Successfully Held in Thessaloniki, Greece

On 8–9 June 2026, the ECO4ALL COST Action CA22124 organised its WG4 Meeting in a hybrid format at the Faculty of Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, bringing together researchers, stakeholders, young researchers, and communication experts from across the network.

Over two intensive days, participants discussed strategies to strengthen communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and networking activities within ECO4ALL. The programme included sessions on project visibility, stakeholder mobilisation, scientific publications, digitalisation, public engagement, and dissemination impact.

A particular focus was placed on collaborative working groups dedicated to:
✅ Newsletter No. 3 development
✅ Social media and website strategy
✅ Stakeholder engagement and D5 Technical Reports
✅ Scientific publication opportunities
✅ Future synergies and collaborations with other COST Actions.

The meeting resulted in the establishment of the Newsletter Editorial Team, the identification of communication priorities, the mapping of publication opportunities, and the development of action plans to enhance the visibility and impact of ECO4ALL outcomes.

🎓 Successful 8th ECO4ALL Webinar: Insights from ECO4ALL Grant Winners

On 5 June 2026, COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL successfully organized its 8th webinar, entitled “Insights from ECO4ALL Grant Winners: Lessons for Researchers”, bringing together researchers, Early Career Investigators, grant beneficiaries, and members of the ECO4ALL network from across Europe.

The webinar attracted a significant number of participants, more then 100 unic participants and provided a valuable platform for sharing practical experiences, lessons learned, and recommendations related to COST networking tools and grant opportunities. The active engagement of participants confirmed the growing interest in research mobility, international collaboration, and capacity-building opportunities offered through COST Actions.

The event was opened by Prof. Olesea Plotnic, Chair of ECO4ALL, who highlighted the importance of supporting young researchers and strengthening international scientific cooperation through COST networking instruments. She also emphasized the remarkable growth of ECO4ALL, which today brings together more than 600 members from over 50 countries, creating a dynamic and inclusive research community.

The webinar was moderated by Prof. Isidora Milošević, ECO4ALL Grant Awarding Coordinator, and Dr. Tarlan Ahmadov, ECO4ALL Young Research Mentor, who guided participants through discussions on grant opportunities, proposal development, and strategies for successful participation in COST activities.

A special highlight of the webinar was the Grant Journey Roundtable, where grant beneficiaries Esma Nur Cinicioglu, Jelena Ruso, and Tatia Dolidze shared their personal experiences, challenges, and success stories, providing practical advice and inspiration for future applicants.

The session “Anatomy of a Fundable Proposal”, delivered by Prof. Isidora Milošević, offered valuable insights into the key elements of a successful grant application, while the closing discussion led by Prof. Plotnic Olesea and Dr. Tarlan Ahmadov focused on practical recommendations and future opportunities within the ECO4ALL network.

🌍 Over 100 Participants Joined the ECO4ALL Stakeholder Webinar on Circular Economy and Consumer Protection

On 29 May 2026, COST Action CA22124 – ECO4ALL successfully organized the stakeholder webinar:

🔄 “Challenges and Opportunities in Circular Economy Transition and Consumer Protection”

The 7th ECO4ALL Webinar gathered more than 100 unique participants, including members of the ECO4ALL network and external stakeholders from academia, public authorities, industry, consumer organizations, civil society, and other decision-makers engaged in sustainability and circular economy policies.

The webinar provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss challenges and opportunities related to circular economy implementation, and explore innovative approaches to strengthening consumer protection in the green transition.

Participants benefited from valuable contributions from representatives of ministries, academia, industry, and civil society organizations from Serbia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Moldova, and the Slovak Republic, generating fruitful discussions and practical recommendations.

As Chair of ECO4ALL, Prof. Olesea Plotnic opened the event by highlighting the remarkable growth of the Action, which has expanded to more than 600 members from over 50 countries, demonstrating the increasing interest and commitment of researchers, policymakers, businesses, and civil society towards building a consumer-centred circular economy.

The webinar contributes directly to the development of Deliverable D5 – Technical Reports for Stakeholders, supporting the translation of research findings into practical recommendations and evidence-based policy solutions for policymakers, industry, consumers, and civil society.
