The Kyra Karr Foundation exists to glorify God by equipping and serving the local church. The Karr family is a member of Breccia di Roma in Rome, Italy.

Godly and biblical leadership has taught them to love and serve the body of Christ and recognize its centrality in God's plan of salvation for those who don't know Christ as Savior. Kyra recognized this and, therefore, dedicated her life to serving the church through working and praying for its growth and multiplication in Rome, Italy and beyond. The KKF recognizes and embraces the reality that ap

art from our Italian partners and their invaluable leadership and input, the efforts and resources of the KKF risk misuse and the possibility of jeopardizing the vision and mission of the Foundation and its supporters. Therefore, every financial and strategic decision that the KKF makes is in partnership with our Italian partners and is based on their suggestions and guidance. No one knows the needs of the local church better than the Italian leaders that the Lord has called to lead it. Their understanding of the culture and people, which the KKF desires to reach with the gospel, are crucial in knowing how to best equip and support the church. The specific ways in which the KKF supports and equips the local church vary and change with time and depend on the changing needs of the church. Examples include scholarships for theological training/education and providing theological resources for pastors to enable them to lead more effectively. Many more could be listed, but we invite you to follow our blog to stay current with the projects the KKF is currently involved in and supporting. We welcome any questions you have in this regard, so please don't hesitate to contact us. The KKF believes that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). We affirm that there is salvation in no one else but the name of Jesus Christ, "for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Furthermore, the KKF declares as true the Apostle Paul's words to the Ephesians when he says, "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." We are all offered the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. This is the Gospel message. It is the message that Kyra dedicated her life to sharing, and it is the message the KKF is committed to advancing in her memory and ultimately for the glory of God. Please pray for tonight’s event in Rome hosted by Breccia di Roma Prati with Gianluca Piccirillo on the topic “Scienza e fede: davvero due mondi incompatibili?” (“Science and faith: really two incompatible worlds?”).

Pray that the Lord would use this evening to open hearts and minds to the truth of the gospel, encourage meaningful conversations, and strengthen the witness of the church in Italy. Pray especially for Gianluca as he speaks, for clarity and wisdom in presenting a Christian worldview, and for many who are skeptical or searching to come and hear the good news of Christ.

On April 16, our friends at Breccia di Roma Prati will host an evening talk with Dr. Leonardo De Chirico exploring one of the hardest and most important questions we all face: If God is good, why is there so much suffering?

This is not just a philosophical issue—it touches real lives, real pain, and real hope. Events like this open doors for honest conversations and the clear proclamation of the gospel in a city that deeply needs it.

This Is Roman Catholicism is a documentary short series examining Roman Catholicism from a biblical and historical perspective. Each episode will look at a different area of Roman Catholic doctrine and practice. Our hope is that the series will serve those who may be unfamiliar with Rome’s teachings, particularly those who find themselves attracted to it, helping them see the system for what it is and understand the hopelessness it ultimately offers apart from the sufficiency of Christ and His finished work.

Please pray for the Breccia churches in Rome as they faithfully serve children, families, and young adults with the Word of God in a challenging urban context.

Pray for endurance in unseen work, wisdom for leaders, and that the next generation would be formed by Scripture rather than shaped by cynicism.

Happy New Year! 2025 was a big year for the Kyra Karr Foundation! It was also the 10 year anniversary of Kyra's passing. Thank you to everyone who has supported the foundation over the past ten years. This ministry would not be where it is today without your generosity and support. We wanted to share this video of what the foundation has been able to accomplish over the years and a brief reflection of Kyra's life.
We can't wait to see how the Lord uses the Kyra Karr Foundation in the next 10 years!

In recent weeks, we’ve rejoiced to witness several baptisms and the public reception of new members across the churches we serve in Rome, Italy. Even more encouraging, new families are now asking to join the fellowship of Christ’s people.

We give thanks for these visible signs of God’s grace at work—calling, gathering, and growing His church through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for these believers and for the ongoing witness of the church in Rome, Italy.
