A pleasant gathering of EHMA Swiss Delegation members from Ticino at ARIA Retreat & SPA in Cima di Porlezza, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Lake Lugano.

A wonderful opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas on hospitality and enjoy genuine EHMA fellowship.

Special thanks to our colleague Raimondo C. Sartorio for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality, and to Chef Emilio Allegro and his team for the excellent culinary experience.

Great hospitality is also about sharing, connecting and growing together.

Exceptional Reunion EHMA France & Monaco at the Mas Candille, Mougins

A huge thank you to Pierre-Marie Ragon for his extraordinary welcome, as the General Manager of the splendid 5* Mas Candille, and for sharing the inspiring story of his remarkable journey to achieving the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France du Service et des Arts de la Table. (Best Craftsman of France, Service & Table Setting)

Years of hard work, perseverance and training were required to reach excellence and earn this highly French prestigious distinction, awarded by the French Government.

Our outstanding lunch was enhanced by the great w**es of Château Minuty, represented by Jérôme coustenobel and Jeremy Carrelet, whom we warmly thank for a food and w**e pairing worthy of our M*F host.

EHMA Welcomes a New Treasurer

EHMA extends its sincere thanks to Giuseppe Mariano, who has stepped down as Treasurer after six years of dedicated service. His professionalism, integrity and careful financial stewardship have played a vital role in supporting the Association's stability and growth.
The Management Council has unanimously appointed Alessio Lazazzera, Managing Director of Roberto Naldi Collection and President of the Organising Committee of the 2024 EHMA Annual General Meeting in Venice, as the new Treasurer. EHMA warmly welcomes Alessio to this important role and looks forward to his contribution to the continued success of the Association.

EHMA Best Practices 2026 – Coming Soon

Preparations are already underway for the EHMA Best Practices 2026 competition, which will explore the theme "The Future of Luxury Hospitality: Emotion, Identity & Belonging." Members are encouraged to begin reflecting on the initiatives, innovations and achievements developed throughout the year, collecting examples of measurable results and outstanding guest experiences. Starting early will make it easier to prepare a strong submission and help showcase the creativity, leadership and excellence that define EHMA members and their teams.

EHL Career Fair 2026

EHMA will once again participate in the EHL Group Career Fair on 24 October 2026, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals. The event offers members a valuable opportunity to meet, interview and recruit talented EHL students and alumni for internships and graduate positions, while showcasing the excellence of EHMA and its member hotels.
Coordinated by Wilhelm Luxem, EHMA National Delegate for Switzerland, the Association's dedicated presence reflects our ongoing investment in developing future hospitality leaders and strengthening links between education and industry.

Cornell University VPA Programme & Certificates

EHMA is pleased to confirm the extension of its Volume Purchase Agreement (VPA) with eCornell through 2026, enabling members and their teams to continue accessing world-class online courses and professional certificate programmes at preferential rates.

RESILIRĒ Project – Randomised Controlled Trial 2026

EHMA continues to support research that advances leadership wellbeing across the hospitality industry. Following the strong response from our members, 40 EHMA General Managers are already participating in Marco Truffelli's doctoral research at Oxford Brookes University, exploring new approaches to preventing burnout and strengthening resilience among luxury hospitality leaders.
The study is now seeking the final 16 General Managers to join the comparison (control) group. Participation involves completing two confidential online questionnaires of approximately 15 minutes each, nine weeks apart, with no workshops or coaching sessions required.
By taking part, members will contribute to pioneering research that aims to generate valuable evidence to support the wellbeing and resilience of future hospitality leaders. Those interested in participating are invited to contact Marco Truffelli for further information and enrolment details.

EHMA Sanremo Event – Save the Date & Preliminary Information: 30 October – 1 November 2026 | Royal Hotel Sanremo

Following the success of our Annual General Meeting in London, we are delighted to invite all members to the EHMA Italian Chapter Autumn Meeting, held in conjunction with the Extraordinary General Meeting to vote on important amendments to the Association's Statute in the elegant setting of the Royal Hotel Sanremo.
The preliminary programme includes a Welcome Cocktail and Dinner, business sessions featuring sponsor presentations and a guest speaker, the Extraordinary General Meeting, a Management Council Meeting, a guided walking tour of Sanremo, the Gala Dinner with the presentation of the Italian General Manager 2026 and Stefano Biscioni Scholarship Award 2026, followed by a farewell brunch on Sunday.
We warmly encourage members from every national delegation to save the date and join us for this important gathering, which will combine meaningful discussions, networking opportunities and the renowned hospitality of the Italian Chapter.

A Report from Pawel Lewtak, EHMA First Vice President

𝗘𝗛𝗠𝗔 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗭𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗕
From 10–12 July 2026, members of the EHMA Central Europe Chapter from six countries gathered at the Hotel Esplanade Zagreb.
Our host, Ivica Max Krizmanic, and his team prepared a programme combining professional exchange, member discussions and the heritage of this iconic hotel.
A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the 𝗘𝗛𝗠𝗔 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 to Amelia Tomašević, former General Manager of the Esplanade and the first member of our Chapter. The award recognised her four decades of commitment to EHMA, hospitality and tourism education, and the development of international standards in Central Europe.
We sincerely thank Sanda Sokol and Zeljka Cuturic for their excellent coordination, as well as Chef Ana Grgić Tomić, Maître d’ Stjepan Okun and their teams for their outstanding culinary care.
Our appreciation also goes to Martina Bienenfeld and the Zagreb Tourist Board & Convention Bureau for presenting the history and character of Zagreb through an inspiring cultural programme.
Today, the EHMA Central Europe Chapter brings together 31 members from six countries, representing 151 hotels and approximately 17,000 rooms. Its strength lies not only in numbers, but in the experience, knowledge and perspective contributed by every member.
Our ambition is to strengthen EHMA’s position as a credible voice for hospitality and to attract active leaders ready to share knowledge, support education and shape the future of the profession.

Here culinary art meets fine arts.
The latest Lunch Amical of the Swiss DELEGATION of the EUROPEAN HOTEL MANAGERS ASSOCIATION (EHMA) took place at the Restaurant Kronenhalle AG, Zürich.
Dr phil. Kerstin Bitar, an art historian at the Rosengarten Collection in Lucerne, provided us with deep insights into the art at Kronenhalle and the fabulous history of its unique art collection.
A big thank you to Dominique Nicolas Godat, Managing Director, and his team at the Kronenhalle, for hosting such a delicious and inspiring lunch. A most memorable moment for EHMA members to network.
