🎥 We continue our campaign dedicated to advancing women’s leadership in a fair and inclusive energy transition.

📊 Did you know?
Emerging evidence highlights a critical strength within rural African energy markets: women entrepreneurs, deeply embedded in their communities, possess unique insights into local energy needs, consumption patterns and customer priorities.

This proximity to end users represents a strategic advantage enabling demand-driven innovation, locally tailored clean energy solutions and stronger last-mile delivery models.

As energy systems evolve across the continent, leveraging this contextual intelligence is essential to building resilient and inclusive energy ecosystems.

Today we present a focused data deep dive and showcase regional initiatives led by RES4Africa Foundation that support women entrepreneurs and strengthen gender-responsive i clean energy value chains.

🎥 In the coming week, we will feature new video insights from distinguished leaders contributing to the global energy transition:
• Rana Alnasir-Boulos, Chairperson, GLOBAL WOMEN FORUM (GWF) - المنتدى العالمي للنساء.
• Anna Dorangricchia, Programme Manager Gender Equality, Union for the Mediterranean.
• Jane Cohen, Programme Manager, People-Centered Clean Energy Transitions Team, International Energy Agency (IEA).

Through this campaign, we have combines evidence, regional engagement, and expert perspectives to underscore a clear message: advancing women’s leadership in energy is not only a matter of equity, it is a strategic imperative for sustainable growth and competitive energy systems.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue with policymakers, private sector actors, and development partners committed to translating ambition into measurable impact.
