Continuing the mission…

The GOGICC & ICPE Mission is a direct response to that call, lived out in the lives of ordinary men and women, who, like the apostles after Pentecost, “cannot keep from speaking about what (they) have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20). The living testimony of ICPE & GOGICC mission centres spread across 14 countries have touched thousands of lives by the love of God, and inspired many to a life of discipleship with Jesus. Young people around the globe continue to receive missionary training and discover the call to evangelise. Yes, in such a time as this, Christ continues to accomplish the extraordinary deeds of His love through ordinary lives! ✨ 40 Years of Grace — A Mission Renewed ✨

On the 17th January – the 41st anniversary of the foundation of the ICPE Mission - at the Church of Maria SS. Annunziata in Partinico, Sicily, we celebrated a defining moment in the history of the Institute for World Evangelisation – ICPE Mission.
A solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by H.E. Mons. Gualtiero Isacchi, Archbishop of Monreale, marked this special event.
💫 A deeply meaningful moment followed: the official installation of Giuseppe Schillizzi as the new Moderator of ICPE Mission, before the gathered assembly that included various ICPE missionaries from across the world.
This new mandate was entrusted to him by Mario Cappello, co-founder along with his wife Anna, and former President of the ICPE Mission:
“Tonight I am not handing over a task; I am handing over a fire.
A fire that is not mine, but the Lord’s.
A fire that has preceded us and will continue to burn.

Giuseppe, my brother, I entrust it to you with joy in my heart.
You are the son of this history, and now, together with the International Council,
you become its guardian.
You do not carry the weight of a legacy, but the joy of a promise.
Be a father, be a servant, be a brother.”

If you’re reading this and wondering whether God is still working in your life
whether the waiting has meant something went wrong
we want you to hear this gently:

Nothing God has begun in you has been forgotten.
Nothing has been abandoned halfway.

You may not see the full picture yet,
but His faithfulness does not flicker with uncertainty.
It remains steady, even in the unseen.

Let this be a quiet reminder for your heart today:
hope is not lost it is being held.
You don’t have to carry it alone.

There are days when your heart feels worn before the day even starts.
You wake up carrying things you didn’t choose, and you wonder how you’re supposed to get through it with the strength you have left.

If that’s where you are today, here is a truth worth holding onto: God doesn’t wait for you to be strong.
He moves gently into the places you’re most afraid to show anyone.

You don’t have to pretend with Him.
You don’t have to come polished or put-together.
You can bring Him the real weight, the fear, the confusion, the part of you that feels like it’s barely holding on.

Speak to Him with honesty:
“Lord, I’m tired today. I can’t hold this on my own. Please help me.”
Even the simplest prayer opens the door for His grace to enter.

His grace doesn’t run out.
It doesn’t shrink when you feel small.
It surrounds and strengthens the places you cannot.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
- 2 Corinthians 12:9

If today feels heavy, go to Him.
Let Him hold what weighs you down.
Trust God, He is faithful in every season.

We rush, we push, we keep going and somewhere in that momentum, our trust in God becomes thin without us noticing.

Prayer isn’t an add-on or a nice extra when things settle down.
It’s the place where our hearts learn again who carries us, who strengthens us, who stays with us in every pressure and every responsibility.

And maybe that’s the hidden invitation of busy seasons:
not to pray perfectly, but to trust God enough to turn to Him in the middle of everything.
To make one small change in our routine.
To breathe the Jesus Prayer while we work.
To let Christ meet us right where life feels most overwhelming.

In October, our ICPE Mission communities marked Mission Sunday with a shared act of trust in God. New commitments were made, ongoing covenants were renewed, and a life covenant was received with reverence. We also welcomed new members beginning their formation.

Across both communities, the same posture emerged: trust expressed not in words, but in choosing to offer one’s life again to God and to the Mission. A covenant is never a symbolic gesture; it is a deliberate act of faith, carried forward through obedience, service, and perseverance.

As we reflect on November’s theme of trust, these moments remind us that trust grows through commitment. It is shaped by daily fidelity, strengthened in community, and anchored in God’s unfailing faithfulness.

May every “yes” given deepen our confidence in the One who calls and sustains us.

The middle of every journey is the hardest part.

It’s where excitement fades and obedience begins.

Love isn’t just about where you’re going, it’s about what you’re willing to leave behind on the way.

Jesus didn’t just walk His road, He carried a cross on it.
Every step of your journey will ask:
Can you keep walking even when it costs you?
Because the road of faith isn’t about comfort.

It’s about love that keeps moving, even when it hurts.
