STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF ROL NAATH FUNS REGARDING FALSE FLAG-RAISING ALLEGATIONS

We are aware of the recent false accusations directed at Rol Naath fun in Gambella, claiming they raised a flag in Gambella Town —an action that allegedly took place on unknown date.

I want to state clearly: these claims are untrue and misleading.

These men are just supporters who are inspired to see Rol Naath prosper. They have no history of actions that disrespect any nation, culture, or flag.
They are not armed men nor involved in any activities that threatened Gambella or Ethiopia security.

The allegations appear to be based on assumptions, misinformation, or misidentification.
Those who know them personally can attest to their integrity, peace-loving nature, and respect for international boundaries and values. They are not even politicians or have any connection with any government official on this matter both in Ethiopia and South Sudan. They are just Ethiopia citizens who felt the suffering the Nuer people are subjected to. Its an issue that bothered Nuer around the globe not only Nuer of Ethiopia.

I urge everyone to seek truth before spreading unfounded accusations. Misleading claims can damage reputations, strain friendships, and create unnecessary division.
Let us choose facts over rumors and peace over provocation.

Please don’t believe or spread what isn’t true. These are people of integrity, and they deserve fairness. If anyone has questions, let’s talk facts, not rumors.
Let’s support one another and not let misinformation tear people down.

Condemnation Statement

The Rol Naath Office strongly condemns the unjust and baseless arrest of two Nuer citizens in Gambella—Khir L*l Chut and Keak Wiyual—who were working on behalf of the Rol Naath autonomous region. This act is not only unjustified but also a clear violation of human rights, and we regard it as an act of barbarity and uncivilized conduct.

We urgently call upon the Government of Ethiopia to uphold the values of justice, human rights, and freedom. We demand an immediate review of this case and the unconditional release of the two individuals.

Furthermore, we reject the recent false claims made by members of the Anywaa community regarding the Nuer people. The accusations that the Nuer aim to claim the Gambella region are entirely unfounded and fabricated. These actions represent a campaign of propaganda and hatred intended to incite division.

We want to make it clear to both the Ethiopian Government and the general public that the Nuer people have never made any such claims. The so-called documentation being spread is forged and deliberately misleading. We condemn this misinformation in the strongest possible terms.

The Rol Naath Office issues a stern warning to those in the Anywaa community who are actively spreading these falsehoods through the media or other means: such actions are divisive, inflammatory, and harmful to peaceful coexistence. We urge all parties to refrain from such behavior and respect the truth.
